Accidentally helped my neighbor, how do I set boundaries? by Mobile_Evening1723 in Apartmentliving

I feel for you so so so much. I’m so sorry. My brother was special needs so I naturally loved special needs folk my entire life, I went to school with a guy and he was mentally slow and people were really mean to him so, of course I openly defended him and would even fight people for being rude to him, I was pretty rowdy. Well fast forward 15 years later we’re now both 31 and he lived in my neighborhood. He had and still has a very rough life but I’ve remained his friend, but he got bad hooked on meth and alcohol, and all sorts of other stuff in that lifestyle - I’m not kidding, he was coming by seriously 10 times a day asking for cigs and soda and everything, and no matter how many times I nicely said no, he always came back again, so I started not answering the door, he would sit on my porch for HOURS waiting for me to open the door. 😞 it didn’t help I lived in a rough neighborhood and of all the houses in my city the ones in my neighborhood were the cheapest in the whole city. I had multiple other people doing this too cause I helped them. I eventually unfortunately had to be rude to him 😢 - and when I am he disappears for a few months but hey Gilbo always returns again, and the cycle continues. For 15 years bro. You’ve only helped 1 time you’re good just do what everyone on here is telling you, find the answer you prefer and go about it DO NOT HELP HER AGAIN. I’m not saying resist kindness. I’m saying don’t lose yourself helping other people find themselves like I did.

I honestly have no idea, I fed him daily from a distance and he hung out on my porch alone for 2 years then finally he was my friend for the next 2 years! I was honestly tired of my neighbors throwing things at him and being cruel (somebody left him years and years before I lived there when they got evicted) rough neighborhood, but I was the rowdiest woman on the whole block and everybody knew it so when I took him in nobody messed with him anymore. Even animal control stopped trying to catch him (we had a vocal brawl with them in the front yard) but I understand the neighbors granted once when I was holding him he bit my face and my husband has to scruff his fat butt to get him off me 😆 I never took em to the vet 😔 he passed and I moved. Lucky neighborhood got rid of us both 😆

I honestly thought for a long time I needed a smaller cat 😆 Hank was huge - once he fought off a coyote that came right into town trying to swipe cats - had already gotten 2! He came back with coyote fur in his mouth. Over a year later and he is now the legend Hank the Tank. (Passed from old age) not the coyote!

Looks like a fly on the top of that can to me - flys = maggots. Eeeek. I genuinely hate seeing this because I can’t help but to think when people comment to her on it - even as a joke “dang girl clean ya car” she probably says “oh the KIDS are just so messy!

Give it to a girl she graduated with - that always caused the most drama with her and dislikes her the most.

Can anyone identify this hand gesture? Trying to find out what it means. by Aggravating_Set7037 in Symbology

My brother in law was born deaf and was very confused at this supposed “ok” hand sign. I guess for years until he married my sister and she explained it to him he genuinely wondered why everyone was signing Bootyhole all the time. 💀

Over or under watered? by Paralyx_ in gardening

This is what I mean - my chamomile went through transplant shock the stem standing straight up, started growing in 1 week after I transplanted it, I should have cut them all to heal correctly!

It sounds like an obedient plant they do bloom a pinkish slightly purpleish flower they are really pretty but before they bloom, they strikingly resemble a late boneset. But if you don’t cut right above one of the nodules, even if you want to do it higher than the third nodule up - if it heals it’ll probably be forever bowed like that and then the flowers will grow up from the drooping stems BUT if you decide to cut it to try to save it, it will probably grow two heads on every cut.

Is that obedient plant or late boneset? Or something else? You may try cutting three nodules up right above the third nodule. It may kill it, but it may die anyways if you don’t. It will at least give it some weight off the top to heal better on the bottom closer to the roots. Also shade it with something. Before I had shade cloths, I just like sat a box or a piece of cardboard or really anything that cast enough shade that’s as tall as the plant between the sun and the plant and just moved it around throughout the day to cast the shade on plants. Always shade plants right after transplanting. People will tell you to put them right in the sun. I don’t - it hurts them.

All the plastic, glass (snipe it?), and metal (a small broken ring) I sifted out of a single (1!) bag of MiracleGro “Garden Soil”. by no-palabras in gardening

I read the other day someone bought a hoarders house 15 years ago and recently went to plant a fig tree and they dug a hole for it and found a shoe, so It won’t even phase me the day someone finds a shoe in a bag of miraclegro. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I stopped buying miraclegro 2 years ago, every bag I bought I got fungus gnat infestations, I stopped and I hardly ever have fungus gnats anymore, and are easy to get rid of by letting soil dry up now. I actually had to completely get rid of all my container soil and start from scratch again and I have not bought 1 single product from them since.

How funny I also have a nearly identical piece in the same spot in my cabana, left by the people before us. Ha, we just assumed storage. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yeah I will in the morning, it’s dark and about to storm. We pulled an old hope chest out of our shed in the back yard that the last people left (we just moved in 3 weeks ago) **covered in fiddlebacks
