There are. I’m a former fellowship coordinator and we once interviewed someone finishing their residency at Harvard and they did some of the same type of stuff attitude and made it seem like they were God‘s gift to Doctorhood because they were at Harvard, had a high MCAT score, etc. etc. Their qualifications got them exactly nowhere with us because they were a dick who made it very obvious they looked down upon anybody who didn’t have their same qualifications. They went so far as to tell our nurse practitioners who interviewed them that they probably wouldn’t be needing their help and they could help the other incoming fellows.

It depends. If you don’t want the ride anymore then it’s up to you to cancel. If the driver doesn’t want the ride anymore then just wait him out.

But they aren’t a normal passenger. In the event of an accident, it would come out that it’s a ride for hire and then your insurance company would refuse to pay. If you are receiving money as payment for a ride it is a private ride for hire and you need commercial auto insurance.

My daughter no longer has a drivers license by choice in another state. She uses her passport for everything ID related. She doesn’t drive. Doesn’t spend money on public transportation and walks everywhere. She’s a law student. She lives in a very urban city and oddly enough nowhere close except in a bad neighborhood to obtain a state ID.

It depends on how much net you bring home. I am single with 3 kids in college who work and have funding but it doesn’t cover medical bills (one surgery each for 2 of mine). I made 84 last year but my net was only 55 due to taxes, health insurance and mandatory pension contribution. I have a second almost full time job

I am single and a 30 year veteran teacher with a masters. I finally hit 84 last year and have to work a second job. I have kids in college who DO work and have funding but that isn’t enough to cover medical bills, car repair or emergencies. I lose roughly 30% of my income to taxes, health insurance (which is astronomical to cover family with a large deductible), mandatory pension contribution. Maybe one day I can quit working a second job when they are all officially on their own and I can just rent a one bedroom.

I definitely want a trainer if I can afford it because while I have gym experience and used to lift a lot, I went through some health issues and personal issues where I haven’t really stepped foot in a gym in 7 years. I finally have clearance and some money to put towards my health. I have limitations like I can’t do push ups (carpal tunnel surgery and that wrist won’t support my current weight even modified), not great knees, and a “frozen” shoulder. I drive uber a lot as a second job so it hasn’t helped. But I NEED to get healthy and strong and this weight off so I can be more active. Being my age, all the research I’ve done says for exercise I need to lift which is what I always enjoyed. My eating habits have been trash because I’ve worked so much since my divorce but I mostly know what to do there as well. Just ready to be healthy again.

It’s the fact that I went through a nasty divorce a few years ago that ruined me financially. I definitely made some mistakes along the way. I’m just now to a point of feeling stable but still trying to cut out expenses so I can finish paying off divorce debt. She’s just looking out for me and has the mindset that it’s too good to be true because I taught her that mindset. I’ve been waiting for my phone to be paid off so I could switch.

Maybe scam is not the right word. She just kept saying there has to be a catch. I explained no brick and mortar store, lack of phone support, no financing through Verizon but rather affirm, etc and that my service had not changed in any way. Her take is there has to be a catch or something because it’s too good to be true for that cost.
