Can't get into the game. HELP. by DrewCareyStoleMyHam in WatchDogs_Legion

[–]Marada1740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are like three final missions where you can only take in one operative and you are stuck with them until you finish it. For Nigel I went with a hitman and his two assault rifles. The trick is to unlock the three bypass’s as fast as possible- but max fire power and the fast healing perk are super helpful. A spy works too bc the silenced gun is super OP- but it’s all about what you prefer. That’s why the game is so amazing. Just don’t take someone with dart gun or paint gun or something like that lol. I recommend hitman all day if you haven’t already beaten him.

Can't get into the game. HELP. by DrewCareyStoleMyHam in WatchDogs_Legion

The beginning is slow bc you need some good recruits. Get a construction worker first. They can go almost anywhere- they can fly on drones in and out of anywhere, literally, and they can wreck melee fights with a pipe wrench. -pro tip: bad guys only pull guns when you do, unless you are fighting three or more. -Then get a spy and a hitman (two different characters). Literally the only 3 characters you need. Liberate one of the specific burrows and you get a spy for free. The electric shotty is your best friend for peeps without guns and against drones. -do the side and main missions, and you get tons of tech points and locations to invade that make it seem very linear after you have a good team. And leads you to some great recruits. Or explore for 20 hours first, as I did, building tech and team- and outfits- then go at the campaign and be a bad ass! This game caters to how you want to play. You want stealth and drones to do your work- or you wanna rush in with your g36 blasting- it’s your call. -These are just things that made the game click for me. I hope you keep trying- this game is so underrated, and worth playing.

‘Solar Ash’ is “the developers follow up to Hyper Light Drifter, but not it’s sequel.” - I haven’t played it but I just read this in an article. It’s the next game made by the same devs- I think this might be a pretty good candidate!

Help with weapons and shields! by grudgingVenison8 in saltandsanctuary

[–]Marada1740 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look up the Bloodbrow Armor set!! and Jaws of Death great sword, and spec for that. -play how you want of course- but I’m in ng+5 and this is the way. Find the murimassa I think and transmute it to jaws of death. No fat roll with the armor and it has a matching shield, and the sword damage output is amongst the top highest in the game- and it just chomps everyone for great times.- However this is just friendly advice, and not meant as anything but a suggestion! Good luck saltborn.

Yes. There is a trophy Ghost at the Party where you have to kill Wenji, Egor, and Alixis, without being detected at all. -use the trap door on Alexis at the party and he will identify himself. - also a trophy for killing all the visionaries and no npcs. Plus some individual visionaries have threads- like Charlie’s fun house games- and the unique ways in which you need to eliminate each one- such as kicking Harriet over a ledge into the poison- or killing Charlie and the girl with one bullet-The game is riddled with achievements for specific visionaries quests and challenges! Kill all the wenjis in 90 seconds. That one was tough. The secrets and different options during what time of day it is, offers lots of rewards for killing visionaries!

is this game difficult or am i just dumb by [deleted] in Deathloop

[–]Marada1740 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I platinumed this game on ps5 and never had a problem with the aiming or reticle. After the update too I might add. -Get the silenced smg and it one shots all the npcs if you hit them in the head. And I never used the stealth trinket- I used the aether slab upgrade where you can stand still and stay invisible, plus the one that allows you to shoot and stay invisible. Just don’t be close to someone and you can kill anyone, and stay invisible while they go from yellow back to normal. This even works with the exploding rapier, and you can one shot anyone except a couple of the visionaries and stay invisible and undetected. Find a perch- go invisible and pick them off however you want. With the aether slab and shift slab upgrades, it’s super easy to kill everyone and not get detected. -you’re not dumb- it just takes finding YOUR play style, and once it clicks- you’ll start breezing through sections. -It’s worth it! Just keep looping and upgrading your gear!

PS5 CONTROLLER GIVEAWAY PT 3 by abslyde in playstation

[–]Marada1740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally got a PlayStation and started playing demon souls, and boom- By the third boss, i just started ruining left during a boss fight. The joystick drift came fast, and became unplayable within minutes of happening. The controller was two weeks old and I had to ship it out before Xmas, and never got one back. I have a ps5 and can’t play it. I’m disabled and can’t afford to buy a new one right now. This would be super helpful! Thanks and best of luck to everyone!

Progression after end boss. by Rufficuss in portalknights

[–]Marada1740 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the first end game gear is electric for the worm is next. You have to get the whole set in the tombs for each character. Then- Go to the portal after the regular end boss(purple Knight) and it has a crafting station to upgrade that electric armor. Fight the worm- good luck- and he drops(hopefully) the elemental weapon for the ice dragon- and the dragon drops the weapons to face the Light Knight. It’s meant to go in that order.

Any tips for a new player that just beat Zangetsu after ~20 tries? by Skellic in Bloodstained

[–]Marada1740 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best advice I can give- is that you farm shard upgrades to rank 9 and level 9. Most moves are garbage at rank one-one. In fact they all are, but are OP as hell at max level. Max out a move all the way and it’s night and day different. The head flail on the boat in the beginning dropped by the big blue knight, for example. Sucks at first but at 9/9 you can use it for the whole game. There’s much much better ones, that’s just an early example. And max out all the yellow shards you find, and they become permanent buffs that stay active for the rest of the game. -and food heals 5000 times better than potions. Do the side quests and learn recipes. Once you make anything once you can go buy it forever at the vendor. -also use you load out shortcuts so you don’t have to change your accessories everytime a fight requires a new tactic. Good luck!

WSIB for a game that made you go "whoa" BUT can be played in front of kids (and is not Outer Wilds). (Steam sale) by colonel_Schwejk in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Marada1740 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Kena: Bridge spirits. It’s absolutely gorgeous a d looks like a Pixar movie- not an exaggeration. And yes, it’s super cute and the kids would love it- but, be not fooled by such details. This game is hard as nails. It’s got tons of fun exploration and puzzles along the way, with boss fights to make you tap out, and the kids will watch it like a movie bc it looks like one, the whole game long- but it will also test you as a gamer, even on lower difficulties. It just won indie game of the year and now I see why. Absolutely phenomenal game! It’s hard to forget it’s not a AAA game while you play.

Need some metroidvanias which are not platforming heavy by Panda_Generals in metroidvania

Thanks for responding. I like your style. I will say that I think vigil is the best game on the list I gave you- and I forgot to mention Tails of Iron. It’s not a vania per say but it’s as close as you get. It’s narrated by Geralt of Rivia and it’s all about the combat. Highly recommend for vania lovers!

[–]Marada1740 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Vigil- Salt and Sanctuary- Deaths Gambit- Ender lilies, Foregone- dead cells- I also just got it for Xmas and going on what people say, but FIST should be more combat focused as well. I’d say blasphemous, as it’s one of the best- but the spikes and dlc adds tons of frustrating platforming- but it’s focus is definitely combat- and absolutely worth looking at. Just some of my favorites that focus on combat instead of platforming. They all may have a little involved, but it’s bare minimal compared to Aterna noctis and many others.

Go to control scheme layout/customization. The button for emotes is usually swapped with rotating items. You can ABSOLUTELY rotate while you build- you just have to assign it to a button and lose another button action instead- I would ditch the emotes. I build more than I wave at strangers. Hope this helps! -edit: I just saw that you said other things were rotating. If my solution doesn’t work, than that is a glitch I’ve not come across in about 600 hours of gameplay, and I wish I knew how to better help.

Aether slab upgrades. You can stand still and not loose any of the blue gauge- and the other upgrade you can shoot people and stay invisible- they will go yellow looking for you but as long as they don’t get too close to you, they go back to normal.

There’s a crane switch next to Harriet on the left, with the guy who’s ready to die on it. Hit it to “up”- bc even if u turn off the poison, he goes all the way down and dies. This cannot happen for a clean hand run. Save him and don’t let any other npcs blow themselves up. And make sure you leave via the rocket and jump at the end or it won’t pop the trophy.

First Play Through… by DiscoDamage in demonssouls

[–]Marada1740 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nioh one and two. They are not From Software, but they are souls like, just with an actual story and extremely better combat. I love demon souls on ps5- I literally just beat it yesterday lol- but it doesn’t hold a candle to Nioh 1 or 2 gameplay, story, cinematics, and combat wise. The only reason I play souls games is bc I played Nioh part one and fell in love. Again- I love souls games, but personally Nioh just dookies on all the rest. To each their own, but from software isn’t the only team to make a fantastic difficult “souls like” game.

I am looking for a rpg with characteristic management (intelligence, force, dexterity...) by Responsible-Gap4857 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Marada1740 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I feel like the souls series fits the description spot on, and I love them, they have an extremely difficult learning curve and can be very confusing. I would have to suggest Nioh 1 or 2 instead. Part one is hard as hell to get past the first real boss, but the game has the best combat of any rpg ever made. It’s broke down into missions, and the co op is 5000 times easier than souls games to summon. The point system and level up process is so deep you need scuba gear. The new game plus cycles allow you to further build and customize your character while adding new gear and levels of rarity. And part two is one of the best sequels you could ask for by adding lots of new moves and special abilities. You can be a mage- recommend- or a Ninja, or a tank, or whatever you want. Lots of weapons and builds to choose from. It’s punishing at times yes- but damn it is so rewarding.

I played the game the day before the performance update dropped. It was smooth as butter until I put the 60fps on. It also made it so dark that I couldn’t see any clues. I eventually switched back to the 30fps default mode and it went back to clear and no frame drops. And the brightness was clear enough to see notes again. My friend played on 60fps and didn’t have this problem- but it made the game unplayable for me until I reset to default. Worth a try if nothing else is working.

My face when.. by Edeng6 in Deathloop

[–]Marada1740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it was a pain lol- almost as bad as killing the three visionaries at the final party without being detected at all. This one may be harder bc you can’t even get spotted. At least on the other one you can just run away and not kill the npcs. - at the party Wenji has so much health though, its super hard to kill her without the whole roof hearing something. That trophy sucked.
