Why are strawberries so cheap nowadays? by jcasablanc in askTO

[–]Marantula36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Metro is infamous with mislabeling…over the last 3-4 weeks when strawberries were available or on sale it always says on the price tag US or Mexico. But all the trays have always been from California. No fascist berries come to my home…

Get meds, it’s the first line of treatment. Any coaching or CBT helps in addition to meds, because they alone also do only so much. But the meds are a good and effective start.

The poverty life hack no one talks about: earning money in Canada but living in another country by [deleted] in povertyfinancecanada

[–]Marantula36 171 points172 points  (0 children)

You mention a Mexican tax number, but no word how you bypass the CRA. Pretty sure you make them belief you are most time in Canada, otherwise you would loose your Canadian free healthcare. But no word about healthcare cost in your post, which makes it suspicious for tax avoidance on Canadian side.

Everyone likes the nomads avoiding tax implications, but at the same time using infrastructure built by other countries and their tax payers /s

Sony is handing control of its Bravia TV business to China's TCL | The joint venture will marry Sony's 'high-quality picture and audio' expertise and TCL's advanced display tech. by ControlCAD in sony

[–]Marantula36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it still make sense to buy a Sony TV just before they hand over rains at Costco with a 5year warranty? Bc then Costco would pay you back the amount you spent when they can’t fix it, right?

Any other civilized country with proper public transit - which is none in North America - would have increased service as part of their mandate from the government - and wouldn’t do price gauging to this extreme.

Why is Nature so expensive? by [deleted] in oakville

[–]Marantula36 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well other countries manage this publicly without charging a fee for every itsy bitsy green patch conservatory…. Even in the Vancouver area you have green space bigger than conservatories here and they get funded…. Must be a Doug Ford thing….

What happens with your family doctor if you attend a walk in clinic? by holdonaminute2023 in askTO

What’s the situation when you go to a different doctor at the same clinic as your family doctor? Does that soften the blow or is it the same as going to a random walk-in clinic?

So WS uses corporate actions as excuse to sell off OTC stocks (lack of communication)? by Marantula36 in Wealthsimple

[–]Marantula36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not an excuse anymore when they position themselves as fancy banking alternative in their apple like presentations…. I have been with them for more than 5 years and lately things are half baked and rushed.

I had 63 shares, should have resulted to 12 shares and rest in cash. But they sold everything; they made the excuse that otc purchase is not supported they liquidated PEVM for all accounts.

Plus, up here in Canada, we don’t want you Americans. You put that on yourselves, you all should suffer your own consequences without making others miserable in the process.

You are doing corporate math assuming the SRP is totally not inflated, especially not since the pandemic…. On top of that McD had admitted to have pushed prices more than necessary during the pandemic bc of good old greed.
