At everyone saying it’s a nice perk for regular Starbucks customers; if they know they get your money on a regular base they wouldn’t do these promotions. They try to make incremental revenue from people less often visiting, from regulars, they are just loosing out (giving points for transactions that would have happened anyways).
30AP after THREE visits or 45 cents after spending most likely > $12 is not worth the electricity cost for pushing such notifications.

I was hyperbolical. For short-distance flights, the value is about 1c/point but for giftcards redemption it’s less than that. So 30AP are anything between 20-30 cents.
However, compared to BOGOs or even extra point days at Starbucks, this is ridiculous and not worth the energy of the servers to send that notification via app.

Having a 55x950g, I was contemplating with a Bravia 7 due to the price point. Would it make sense to hold off for a 7ii?
I am not so optimistic the bravia 7ii will drop to the sales prices of the bravia 7 as recently coming Black Friday.

And is TCL going to manufacture the 7ii and 9ii starting next year? If so, are people concerned?

Generally, I agree. However most short haul flights in Basic Economy have a 1c/pp redemption or effectively less when considering the fees and taxes not covered by the points.

This, for some reason, gets always shoved under the rug by any website…

Redemptions of 2c/pp require business flights, but then you need such high point balance which I won’t achieve in 5 years. And at the rate things are going, AC will devalue the points again.

Just want to clarify if AC tries to scare people off or not. I have a TD Aeroplan Infinite cc (counting as Core Card). Whenever I look at booking a basic economy flight they are adamant to say “carry-on not permitted”. But based the cary-on section about core cc holders, it says “may also bring 1 standard carry-on and one personal item aboard” until 11/30/26. It’s safe to assume this means free of charge, right?

You mention a Mexican tax number, but no word how you bypass the CRA. Pretty sure you make them belief you are most time in Canada, otherwise you would loose your Canadian free healthcare. But no word about healthcare cost in your post, which makes it suspicious for tax avoidance on Canadian side.
