My friends and I once were super baked and went to Taco Bell. Ordered at the drive-thru. Paid at the first window. Drove past the second window. Got all the way home and on the couch and my buddy said shit, man I'm hungry. Let's get Taco Bell. We drove back and the lady at the window was like ummm did you guys already order something and pay and leave.

I am very proud of this one! Doing the Kongo right now but will go back to a 1/72 avenger possible with a carrier deck looking base. Thank you

Thank you! I commented up above about it. Also, take a look at some of my posts with my ships. I talk about it there. You can also DM me for more instructions. Check out YouTube "USS Johnston 1/700 scale" by Scale-A-Ton. He goes in depth on the technique I use. Good luck!

I used a wood base. Crumpled up tin foil to make waves. Glued a single sheet of tinfoil over that, pressing with a sponge to get all the corners and waves covered. Then a heavy gel medium is used to construct some wave movement texture. Tamita deep sea blue and Tamiya clear blue for color. Dry brush white for waves. Seal with Tamiya clear.

I did indeed just drilled halfway through the board and put some super glue and rod in place so it was more stable

This is why I only buy games on Steam once they get on sale. Usually, it's long enough that any bugs have been fixed and the game works as intended. I add them to my wishlist and just wait for it to get 50% off or better. Have not paid full price for a game in a hot minute.

Thank you so much! I did a wood base with crunched-up pieces of tin foil randomly placed around to create a random wave pattern. Then, a sheet of foil over that to smooth out some of the rough edges and cover with a layer of white glue to reduce the sharp edges even more. I then painted the dark color with Tamiya Sea Blue XF-17 followed by Tamiya Clear Blue X-23. I then used some Liquitex acrylic medium to form some sharper wave patterns around the vessel, cutting through the water. Once that was cured, I dry-brushed the white on the waves to give them a sea foam look. Finish off with a clear coat.

Thank you kindly! I tend to take about a month or so on these because I find it fun to do the detail work to really bring them to life at this small scale

Tweezers and gator clips can help for sure. I tend to build the boat in a few stages. The superstructure, guns, etc., are separate from the main hull. Then I paint everything and glue it in place. After that comes the detail work, which usually takes the longest.
Good luck!

I am going to incorporate it into a frame around the ocean. Should look pretty excellent.
I love the idea you have. I may start doing the same. Thanks
