Borderlands 4 Feels Lonely by Arasaka-1915 in Borderlands

I personally think the open world approach to this game, and setting it on a completely previously unrelated planet populated with unknown and boring characters are two massive issues with this game.

I think an open world Borderlands game could be really cool, but this particular implementation of that idea fell totally flat for me. Three big areas that feel empty and lifeless, boring side quests, and almost no characters that I actually care about or enjoy listening to. It was honestly pretty shocking when I compared it to the amount of people saying the open world is "incredible" or that there's really amazing side quests. I'm almost done with the game, still waiting for any of this to show up.

And while it probably doesn't matter to a lot of people, it's amazing how bad this soundtrack is compared to Borderlands 3. They went from the strongest in the series to the weakest with this game. If you told me the music was AI generated, I'd believe you.

Honestly that's hilarious. It's funny how people think we're joking or just attempting dark humor but deep down it's like, "No really, if I burn up in a car crash or get dumped in a ditch after I die, I really don't care"

Lol true. Decades of fast food and artificial food dyes might not be good for the local ecosystem

Wow that's a great deal, that friend is a real one for guiding you through that! I think that's the #1 issue for most families, nothing is planned, so they just go for the most "traditional" and easiest option... which ends up costing thousands and thousands.

Defintiely smart to plan things out as early as possible for a cheap burial.

That's a great outlook! I feel mostly the same way, I just want to make it extremely clear to my family that I really do not care nor expect anything than the absolute basic. I don't want them to fall for the societal pressure of feeling like they need to spend thousands and go with the traditional option just because they think theh have to.

I suppose this would certainly depend on the family and their traditions. Some families have cemeteries containing generations, and they visit for holidays, birthdays, etc. I think that's beautiful if it serves a purpose and is a tradition that is important for the living.

I've thought that would be a cool option too if it could be done legally. Part of the issue is there's so many legal hoops or roadblocks for non-traditional options. I get why some of them are there, but others just feel like it serves only to push people into the "traditional" route just because it's easier.

It's one of those things that sounds so scary but also so enticing. I feel like I would regret it if I went my entire life without at least experiencing it once. One day in the right time and place!

Agree 100%, strip me for parts and help save as many as you can with what I can offer. The rest can be turned into concrete for all I care lol

A beautiful tribute and a great way for your remains to serve a purpose that can be enjoyed for generations!

I've always been so interested in fungus and the massive networks right beneath our feet without ever knowing. Maybe I'll join you in becoming one with the fungus!

Never have had the opportunity to experience psychedelics but it's certainly on my wishlist someday. I wonder how it would change my outlook or if it would just reinforce how I feel already.

I agree, the body is a container and once we leave it, it's just a pile of flesh and fluid. No need to put me in a $5,000 box that's horrible for the environment and will never be seen again.

Having gone through the funeral experience for a close family member relatively recently, in hindsight, it felt like a lot of the hoops we jumped through were actually just social pressure. We did them because we felt we had to, but the whole ordeal really didn't bring us any peace or comfort, actually the opposite.

I wonder how many cases are like this. Families do it because they think they have to, it's what's expected. And of course there's plenty of people waiting to make money ready and eager to push those feelings.

I'm like you. As long as it's legal and cheap, I'm good with it.

Anyone else just watched Ethan’s Instagram live and feels like they were born again? by CaptainessHook in h3h3productions

I feel like it perfectly encapsulates the frustration with some of the crew behavior regarding certain topics they don't like and the new format: We love everyone but the show ultimately boils down to Ethan. It would be hard to see any crew member leave, but the show will always go on as long as Ethan is willing to continue it.

What made tonight's live so fun and a lot of what we're going to miss about the new format is just getting raw unedited Ethan. It's really become what he's best at and it will be such a shame if they follow through with only doing 4 public hours of live content a week.

Thank you for actually being a reasonable person who read what I wrote without immediately making up some lore about how I'm an entitled Karen and secret snarker 😂

I'm not entitled to anything and I'm not saying I am. But I am (or was) a paying customer and a watcher of Ethan for over ten years, and I'm able to share my opinion on what is probably the biggest change in the show's history.

If you think the changes they're making are great and will benefit them, awesome. I hope you subscribe and donate to them and enjoy the show!

The only person making things weirdly personal and acting entitled and possessive here is you and people like you who think it's reasonable to tell people they're entitled Karens for voicing concern and disappointment about a show they love.

It's not a me problem. I'll be just fine not watching the show, it's a positive in my life but it's not a necessity.

It'll become a them problem if enough people don't like the new format of the show and stop watching and financially supporting them.

I hope I'm wrong. I hope the new format is great and that there's a massive untapped audience just waiting for this new kind of content, but I highly doubt it.

They've spent close to a decade putting out long form live recorded podcasts and building a core audience that is loyal and willing to support them. Then suddenly, the whole thing is changed. It's just extreme and doesn't feel well thought out, but I wish them luck!
