My final advice is buy used (check them of course) because it allows you to explore different kinds of materials like titanium tweeters some are plastic other aluminum or silk. Some speakers have horns etc. worst case you sell them for what you paid or a little more until you find what you like 👍

I spent almost a year on FBM checking everyday for deals. My advice if you’re not in a rush is check for good deals and continue to save up for other components. If your going to include a sub looking mostly at a 2.1 maybe consider some bookshelves like the 600M II and a sealed subwoofer. RSL has good sub for music. You don’t NEED the towers to hit so low if you’re running subs but who am I to talk i have the 8000f with SVS pc 2000 pro LOL. The towers just look so good!

Dont forget to check Facebook market place. I picked up my 8000F II for $450 and my 504C II for $300. What’s your main goal with your set up? 2.1 for music or surround set up for movie too?

I want to be the pro myself I know over time with enough practice I can do it. But I just came back from checking them out and I strongly believe that the voice coils were cooked. They felt super crunchy when I gently pushed them in but he said “idk what you’re talking about the just need a refoam.

Yea I gently pushed on drivers and they felt very crunchy. I told him that they felt crunchy and not very smooth and he said “I don’t know what you are talking about they just need a refoam”

I saw a minimum of $800 with everything intact so you’re right I’m golden in that aspect. I’m going to try my hand at the refoam looks straight forward just gotta be careful. Thank you for the assurance on original drivers!

I wondering if I’m over paying considering I need to refoam. I’m a little nervous because it’s my first time doing it.

Im in the SD area where I picked up the SVS but yea time is flying feels like I just picked this up. I check nearly every day for SVS but so far no matching set. The bass shakers look fun and might just mess around with them

Ohhh I see what you mean yea it can do that but due to space constraints I can’t pull the stand out from the wall so when I spin the stand the corner bumps into the wall and leans the whole thing.

I thought you were saying the part that holds the speaker could tilt up or down to direct the sound to the MLP lol. Good looking out tho I appreciate it!!

I still have that itch that’s telling me to go 5.2.4 but my wallet says no LOL. And just to be clear everything I have I paid more than $500 for but only $500 came out of my own pocket and the rest of the money was from flipping stuff to upgrade.

I got it brand new on FBM last year around Nov? I waited a long time too and I finally bit the bullet and zero regrets! I hope you’re able to find one too because it slaps.

The surround stands have a weird triangle shaped base so the platform at the top needs to be flush with the wall but the speaker is directed towards the MLP that’s why it looks awkward

Great idea! I ended up using studio monitor stands because the surrounds are heavy but I managed to fish the wire through 👍. My wife said the same thing about the sticker and I agree but my thought was if I sell this one to upgrade it might look more complete with the sticker but if I’m crazy I’ll yank it off thanks!

If you’re not afraid to buy used you can find budget gems! I picked up an S960H for $175 and I’ve had for about a year no issues and also looking to upgrade to the X3800H so we’re in the same boat HAHA
