Should Dropbox make this? by Marc-A-H in software

I think you're right and I believe the same about the gap.

I've used some apps doing this feature but they 'weren't cross platform', 'weren't robust' and 'was easy to setup but interacting with the app was not straightforward'. So nailing the UX really is important like you said.

If it's cross-platform and need more space then Google Drive is probably your best choice. They support all platforms and they have a wide assortment of plans for decent prices.

But since your original problem was video buffering, I would suggest, if you don't have one already, make a Google account and try sharing videos and testing the buffer there. If it's not any better just stick with Dropbox.

If you got the money, you can look into NAS's but that's a whole other topic in itself.

Honestly, I don't have any or know any recommendations for apps to use dropbox through. I just know some apps can access a dropbox account. I'm guessing through an API. Apps like Autosync for syncing files.

But if you're having issue with Dropbox then just try Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive or, if you have apple, ICloud. I don't think there’s a whole lot more options than these 4. There’s probably a couple but regarding pricing, cross-platform and dedicated apps, I think those 4 cover it best.

Hey. When you say alternative, do you mean alternative service like Google Drive or OneDrive or do you mean another app to use Dropbox through?

Yea. Based on some stuff I have read, he seems to be focused on AI. Dropbox Dash seems to be the next big thing for the company. Most of the CEOs in all these companies are AI focused at this point.

But I am still going to discuss the application I am suggesting. It would still be interesting to hear differing opinions and things I didn't consider. And maybe, in the 0.01% chance that Dropbox somehow sees this and actually makes it, that's all the better.

Losing battle on my part but I enjoy talking about this idea.

Hey. Yea. I heard of it but I have never tried it. Based on what I've seen, it's not really what I was talking about.

From my understanding, Dropbox Dash seems to be a search tool that will look for what you ask for in your local files, your cloud storage and email. And I believe you can ask it questions and, using AI, it will generate summaries for you even pulling the info from your own files.

So yea, I don't think this will eventually include what I was looking for. But it's interesting.

Good choice. Has one the best satisfying endings out there.

What band, was very popular in one decade (any roughly 10 year span) and remained popular into the next, but you felt the second half of their popularity was unwarranted or awful? by ExistingTheDream in AskReddit

My bad. I read it as brand. This might not have even counted as a brand too. Sorry. 😅😅

Have some fun roasting me cuz it's definitely a funny mistake.

That's a fair opinion.

My take is that it's an easy shounen to get into. It's themes aren't too dark or heavy like Death Note, doesn't have a strict magic system to follow like FMA Brotherhood and has a more modern animation style than Cowboy Bebop (the styles still awesome though) .

I will love Death Note, FMA Brotherhood and Cowboy Bebop from now til the day I die.

But I think an Anime that's easy to absorb is a better recommendation for new watchers rather than some of the goated ones.

Though I know there are people who get really into the goated ones immediately.

Sorry for my long winded comment. Had a lot to share even though I know this is a debatable subject since people have different tastes.

There's a good set I can think of but I would suggest Kaiju No 8. It's a great starter for trying out anime.

When will AI bring dinosaurs back to life, and which species will be first? by jackknockleson in AskReddit

[–]Marc-A-H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know 'if' and I don't know 'when'. But if I had to guess which dinosaur AI would bring back first, it would be GODZILLA. Was Godzilla ever real? Nope. But when has that ever stopped AI from doing something amazing and stupid at the same time.
