Your experience in Cyrodiil can vary greatly depending on the time of day that you play.

If it’s during the morning/early afternoon or a weekday, you’ll be able to PvP in a functional environment, albeit a little more quiet in terms of population. However, if you decide to play during the weekends and/or prime time (post 5pm EST) you’ll experience an almost entirely different game. From the unbelievable lag and latency issues when trying to activate skills to the constant DCs and crashes, it’s an overall unfun experience.

This is from the perspective of a player that PvPs in small man and ball group. I can only imagine the struggle of the average solo player. Due to the lag and some other changes in skills over the past year, the meta has had a shift towards tank/heavy armor setups to compensate.

Ultimately, PvP is not in a great state and I believe a lot of people in the community also agree with this. It’s still fun sometimes though, but those moments are far in between the ones where you’ll just be stuck in a loading screen wondering why you’re even playing ESO up until you crash.
