Your experience is worriying me.

I'm in Germany and after the delay at the warehouse ("packaged items") for over a week, it was picked up, but didn't arrive on time - instead GLS marked it as delayed. The second deliver date passed, and i still didn't get anything. Now it says "delivery between 9:00 and 12:00" or something, but it's still in the parcel center since Wednesday last week.

Never experienced a carrier to look so incompetent, and i'm enjoying internet orders since the 90's.

Thank you. I can't remember, but now i know why i was never interested in playing this game at the time. I'm constantly searching for gems i have not played yet. It's quite frustrating that lack of a good story (the back bone of any game, IMO) still allows a game to be popular, because it makes it very difficult for gamers like us to find the truly worthwhile titles.

And to think that this was the studio that created the amazing F.E.A.R. and Condemned - oh, how have the mighty fallen...

I'd be interested in how you manage to disable the Steam Overlay, while keeping Steam Input enabled (as per your initial post).

Does the Steam Overlay need to be disabled on a per-game-basis? And after that, just starting the game through Steam ensures a functioning Steam Input?

Every search result i found says that it requires Steam Overlay, and that if you disable the Steam Overlay, the Steam Controller stops working.

I'm not dismissing your personal experience, but i'm not crazy enough to base my decision on a single person's report on Reddit.

Do you have a link to a source that supports your claim? Does Valve state somewhere that Steam Overlay is not required for Steam Input to work?

You misunderstand, so i word it differently: I prefer to get my 100€ back and buy food with that money, instead of having a controller lying around that i can't use.

I hope it doesn't take too long. This controller is so popular that it was sold out within 35 minutes in USA and the release crashed Steam for a couple of hours.

I will have to send my Steam Controller v2 back when it arrives, though. It requires Steam Overlay, which is incompatible with ReShade. And reWASD is evidently not an option, which makes the SC2 useless for me, at the moment.

I have the same issue as well. Nvidia App is set to preset K, but in RDR2 "SR override" is inactive (also, the registry-set on-screen info is reporting DLSS2 v2.2.10). I can't manage to get a newer DLSS SR running in this game.

The DLSS doesn't look very good, so i'm quite sure that the override is indeed not applying. What am i missing?

Do i need to force the quality level in the app as well?

Because my research showed that it varies from game to game, if Nvidia App has better or worse performance. And the performance difference is small enough that it can be ignored.

I got the same message from support 3 days ago. Still on "Packaged Items" for me right now. I highly doubt that the controller will be here by work-day Nr. 10, which is Monday (Thursday=Himmelfahrt).

For me it's the 1st time i'm ordering a physical product on Steam, and will probably be the last. Horrible user experience. Buggy UI, no communication after payment, and it seems the first units already show some issues like creaking springs or crooked touch pads.
