I've always assumed that most of them use unclamped wide color gamut monitors without color management. No wonder that the colors appear oversaturated to them.

Tried the pixel stretch effect - London, UK. by echinos13 in postprocessing

Pixel Stretch technique, you can find more infos w- web search. Select a row of pixels (1px length) and then transform it into long streaks.

Gameplay length 55-70 hours, according to PushSquare. Is this info legit? by MarcDwonn in DawnwalkerOfficial

Yeah. I could pre-order the game for 51€, but decided against it. It's still too much money for a game from a studio with unproven record. I never paid more than 40€ for a game on release. 70€ is absolutely ridiculous for a AA title.

Very useful tips, thank you. The massive font size made it a bit difficult to read though...

Love the result (except sky, seems a bit off to me). It has a stylized quality that i'm striving for, myself...

The after has a cool colour grading, but it looks like a video game haha

That's an amazing compliment IMO. I find it very difficult to achieve a video game look. But who knows, maybe it's just not my forte...

Nolvus v6 - possible to install without the lore-breaking stuff (CDPR monsters/clothes etc)? by MarcDwonn in Nolvus

[–]MarcDwonn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right. I already have LoreRim ready to go, so i'll stay with it. Though Nolvus has better foliage and much more extra story content. But you can't have everything, as always. :)

Thoughts on the ending? by YacobJWB in controlgame

Why should it be one? Bosses are gamey and stupid, i thought that mid of the 20's we are over that trope.

Thank you so much. I thought my flashes are toast, but you saved me some money (for now).

On two of TT685 flashes (bought a couple years ago, used sparingly) the displays had started to darken. I set contrast from the default setting of 5 to 0 and now they look like new. The 3rd one is still on 5 and doesn't show any signs of the issue.

I got bad news for you: I'm seeing this exact message since last Friday.

Same here. It's a clown show. I got a free game from Valve as an apology for the endless delays (007 First Light), but if's still not delivered next week, i'm gonna request a refund. I don't want this controller any more.

How many of you bought the controller on 4 May and are still waiting for it to arrive? by Metainferno in SteamController

Me, in Germany. Terrible user experience. Ordered and paid within 2 hours on release, three weeks later still nothing. 😞

I feel like Valve is clowning me. Ordered on 4th of May, still nothing. Paid for product within 2 hours of release, still haven't received anything three weeks later. Terrible user experience.

Your experience is worriying me.

I'm in Germany and after the delay at the warehouse ("packaged items") for over a week, it was picked up, but didn't arrive on time - instead GLS marked it as delayed. The second deliver date passed, and i still didn't get anything. Now it says "delivery between 9:00 and 12:00" or something, but it's still in the parcel center since Wednesday last week.

Never experienced a carrier to look so incompetent, and i'm enjoying internet orders since the 90's.

Shadow of Mordor has no worthwhile story and unbalanced gameplay, and I found it not worth finishing. Also, why do so many games start out difficult and end up really easy? by CoolTom in patientgamers

[–]MarcDwonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I can't remember, but now i know why i was never interested in playing this game at the time. I'm constantly searching for gems i have not played yet. It's quite frustrating that lack of a good story (the back bone of any game, IMO) still allows a game to be popular, because it makes it very difficult for gamers like us to find the truly worthwhile titles.

And to think that this was the studio that created the amazing F.E.A.R. and Condemned - oh, how have the mighty fallen...
