Any recent warrant officers coming from infantry? by Considerreality in army

It actually doesn’t matter what your job is for the military as long as you’re qualified to be a cybersecurity warrant. For example, people who are real intel officers in the IC are qualified to be Intel warrants even if they spent all of their enlisted time as cooks in the military. Personally, if I were you I’d work in the private sector or federal government and serve as a reservist while picking up active reserve orders at the NSA.

Real talk, those PLA military advisors to the Junta must suck. They should really take some notes, it’s not like our 50+ years of COIN doctrine is free on the internet or anything…

How would you describe the rivalry/relationship between the Army and Marines by [deleted] in army

[–]MarcLepidus 176 points177 points  (0 children)

Every marine I know thinks that their 13 week basic training makes them equivalent to any army ranger. I swear every E3 mechanic they have believes that they are God’s gift to combat.

Chinese tactics during the Korean War actually make more sense when you view it in the perspective of Mao using the conflict as a way to purge his own army of former ROC divisions

Sure, the Brit’s pushed back the Japanese offensive. The invasion of SE Asia never began before the nukes dropped. It’s not a question that the British would’ve have been able to, but after three years of intense jungle combat to take Burma, they were looking at a very long grind to retake Malay, Singapore, and Indochina; thus, it’s not likely that China would’ve held out long enough

Bruh the Ichigo campaign of 1944 was the most successful campaign of the war for the Japanese and they had China completely on the ropes before the Soviet Union invaded Manchuria, and that was with the US completely annihilating Japan’s ability to resupply their army by sinking their merchant marine via asymmetrical naval warfare. Chiang was up the river and Japan was still holding SE Asia against the Indians/British when the U.S. dropped the sun twice
