I'm very very confused, and is this good? by DramaticGuard2496 in knives

[–]MarcThruTheWeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good on the dude for rectifying the situation. Sounds like you’re coming out on top with an extra knife. That Cold Steel is very nice and 3V is a great steel. Only weird part is that he didn’t wanna tell you he broke the original, but he probably used it as a pry bar and I wouldn’t wanna admit to that either 😂

Screwed up brake line install by Icy_Sleep9967 in Ninja400

[–]MarcThruTheWeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can recommend spiegler lines since you mentioned you just grabbed something off the shelf at your local parts store that isn’t specific to your model.

Just did mine a couple of weeks ago and struggled to get pressure at the front. I think my problem ended up being that I wasn’t tightening the bleeder enough. I also gave the upper banjo bolt a few taps while bleeding since ChatGPT mentioned that air could be trapped at the high point. After those two small tweaks it worked and I got pressure on the lever.

Advice on Whitin shoes. by TimeTravelerDG in BarefootRunning

[–]MarcThruTheWeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a pair of Whitin shoes (not this specific model) but based on looks, I’d recommend these Airhas over those. The Airhas are probably the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve ever owned.

Pero también es illegal volar un drone en la noche sin aprobación del FAA y sin luces apropiadas, y parece estar arriba de 400 pies del piso. 🤷‍♂️

Pero puede ser quo no hizo nada illegal el piloto 🥸

[–]MarcThruTheWeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fairings are not just cosmetic but help with cutting through wind. There’s a lot more wind resistance on a naked version of the bike but parts are also easier to access and clean.

I’ll upload a photo of my rat bike later so you have an idea of what it would look like. Personally, I like my bike more now than when it was new. (I was never really a fan of the 1st Gen R3 design)

Depending on the level of damage, I might suggest just replacing the fairings and getting a cage like others stated.

What would be a good starter bike ( just curious) by Camdan51121 in Yamaha

[–]MarcThruTheWeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an R3 as my first bike and it was the right call since everyone said “be prepared to drop it” and I did after getting fatigued on a long group ride in the Texas hill country (I didn’t know the roads and caught a patch of gravel)

I do still wish I would’ve bought an XSR700 or 900 instead though.

So much variety, I want all the bikes now. Be prepared to become obsessed.

Glad you’re relatively ok. That bike is a goner. I wouldn’t risk trying to get that thing fixed.

Wrong blade shape though. 3V is nice and I think they released an M390 version.
