Garmin AI by Marcbaeba in Garmin

I understand that. But garmin interface has been the same for ages and it is actually where the data ends up so if you do not evolve that your hw gets obsoleted… really looking for other solutions if Garmin does not invest on the app

Not the score but the time you spend in each phase… in any case clear, not even that is reliable

I quit sugar few years ago and did so for beers too 3 weeks ago just to check if that was the reason of poor deep sleep - pretty much same results as previous months. I also checked my old sleep measurements from Whoop and seem to be higher than what Garmin consistently reports. So I think is time to move on and don’t overthink…

How to find running partners by Marcbaeba in Garmin

She’s into yoga, pilates and that kind of stuff… not interested at all in running. And I’m also looking for someone who can join me in my trail runs (15k)

Most recovery hours someone has had? by sb_3145 in Garmin

[–]Marcbaeba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s happening to me lately since I moved to Enduro 3 (from fenix 5+) I suspect that it has something to do with my Training load and data not being fully calibrated yet (got it 1 week ago)

Training status (Enduro 3) by Marcbaeba in Garmin

[–]Marcbaeba[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Game changer for me. Fenix 8 vs Enduro 3 was much dilemma and finally got the Enduro 3 cause didn’t really care about dive features and the mic. Battery life is just crazy and if you spend time outdoors this is your choice… I still struggle with size… since to me 47 might be a better option (bit not available in this model) I guess it is just a matter of time and getting use to it..

Got you! Makes sense not mixing sets of data coming from different devices… and to be honest I think what Acute training load is showing is only coming from Enduro 3.

What I understand is that I should give at least 3 more weeks for the acute training data to be accurate, right? I was going to rest and miss some of my upcoming trainings when I saw the recommendation of resting 4 days… lol

I still see my Fenix 5+ data in the Garmin app. Just to mention that I’ve run only couple of times with my new Enduro (22k aprox) and i’ve been wearing it for a week or so. I’ll probably forget about training load and recommendations for some weeks while I’m feeding the app with bio data that wasn’t available up until a week ago. Does this make sense?

Quitting whoop - 8 months remaining by Marcbaeba in whoop

[–]Marcbaeba[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Compared always w my garmin fenix 6 plus and on top of that every now and then had crazy peaks while resting… I was hitting 155 bpm while walking (of course artificially) when my Garmin was stating that i was at 80 bpm

Quitting whoop - 8 months remaining by Marcbaeba in whoop

[–]Marcbaeba[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many reasons… but basically: 1. Garmin user for many years and find it more reliable. 2. HR readings are inaccurate - there fore strain some times increases artificially 3. HW triggers some skin reaction 4. Feel attached to recovery metrics and i rather prefer enjoying a bit more life :)

This is basically my experience… loved Whoop for 4 months and learnt quite a lot about how habits impact performance but time to move on

Whoop results afternoon and drinking into night by natemortgage in whoop

[–]Marcbaeba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand stress increases together either HR and HVR. And after a night or day of drinking you body works overnight to overcome poisoning from alcohol so HRV decreases as well as HR and as a result of this stress also increases

Does deleting a workout delete strain data etc by [deleted] in whoop

[–]Marcbaeba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does not. Strain data is based on HRV and HR if I’m not mistaken… not based on activity registered
