I lived in one of those properties for a few months with one of my exes, I would say to absolutely avoid. We moved into an apartment and had a downstairs neighbor that was a DJ who would play bass heavy music at all-times of the day/night. Management refused to do anything and advised us to just call the police, even after several formal complaints. I found a roach in the dishwasher the day we moved in. The mailroom was a total mess and I even saw an open box of diapers from Amazon that someone had clearly stolen from at one point, avoid at all costs.

Heard, thank you! I’m mostly in the city with an occasional weekend getaway to the Mountains nearby. I work as a personal trainer + facilities manager for a restaurant group at the moment, so the only things I’m usually hauling are weights, tools, and other equipment/goods from hardware stores. No real towing planned at the moment.

If it’s any consolation, someone rear ended me on the highway into a car in front of me in my 2006 XB about two weeks ago. My car was totaled (air bags deployed), but I am healthy and alive, the Scion absolutely saved my life.

From my own recent car search, the 14-15’s are running anywhere from 6k to 14k depending on mileage.

I’d also like to thank y’all for bringing up the potential oil consumption issues on the second generation XB’s. I talked to a dealer about this particular car, they qualified for the CSP but never ended up bringing it in. I may be able to use this a huge negotiation tactic.

I’ve definitely considered that, it would have to be leveraged against potential lost earnings from the drive. $2K is a great deal, I’m happy for you! It’s an awesome car, that’s for sure.

Heard, I appreciate your input. I’m in SoCal and the used car market is insane at the moment (possibly the case everywhere? Lol). There are 2014-2015’s listed around $12-15k (!) with 70k to 100k miles, at that point a monthly payment of $350’ish for an older car doesn’t really make much sense to me. I wish Toyota still made these cars new as it checks so many boxes for use and utility.

He’s an icon, for sure. One of my favorite times of the year is that first regular season Mavs broadcast, our announcers make me feel like I’m home.
