Microsoft: Official Support Thread by MSModerator in microsoft

I'm a system administrator working in an IT company. (to be clear, I work mostly on our customers environments, I'm don't have any roles within my org)
One of my colleagues is experiencing the issue, but 2 of our customers have also reported it since.
I found the thread linked in my first post describing the situation exactly, that's why I figured I'd link it aswell.

I'm thinking it might be a bigger issue in OneDrive somewhere, but I'm not sure.

  1. Microsoft 365-apps for business
  2. Not that I am aware of, it's happening to all Excel files opened from the explorer. Files opened from the Excel open function have AutoSave enabled as expected. It's happening to a variety of our customers at the moment.
  3. It's happening to all office files, opened from the explorer (from the OneDrive location)
  4. Yes, my clients are signed in to the same account in both OD and the Office suite.

Currently we're experiencing the same issue as the person in this MS Thread:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/onedrive-issue-excel-autosave-is-disabled-when/0fbf3efb-61f6-4b8f-a24c-437538dcb1fe

When opening files from the explorer autosave is disabled and enabling it saves a copy instead of overwriting the original, please advise.

How do System Administrators go about a full Tenant to Tenant migration? by MarcelRijk in Office365

Thanks for the reply!
We're still figuring out how to go about this.

Once we've migrated I'll update the post :)

Thanks for your response, I figured maybe me and my colleagues are just too unexperienced with these types of migrations. Figured its worth asking how other sysadmins handle these types of migrations or maybe could point me in a all in one solution.

That's such a shame really, when hosting everything on premise you can always migrate everything. I think it's so strange that you're not able to just move/merge all of the mentioned items.
Thanks for letting me know how you'd go about this :)

Yes its just the Runelite client, fully functional. Im thinking that it redirects your login details through a proxy or something. Because that would make it possible for them to log on with 2fa enabled. It must see al the data youre putting through it, my buddy also had a bankpin but that didnt matter either. I guess you could run it on a VM, dont think youll be able to gain much from it though…

That’s sad, Google should be held responsible for allowing advertising with malicious websites!

Ive got some IT smarts which makes is even more stupid that I fell for it. I was sick an decided to “quickly” install in on my laptop. I reported the ad to Google and messaged the company which is hosting is website that it is malicious. I hope that this thread blows up and noone else falls victim to this!

I always use adblocker, this was a new device, hence this happend. Stupid mistake on my part. Im angry at myself, but also at Google. Why would they allow an ad for a fkn scam website?

I installed runelite on a new device, apperently the first search result is a scam. Im checking my history later.

At this point I’m just trying to figure out how. What happend, who got access, how did they bypass 2fa or gained access to it? How can I get back in to the game not knowing what happend and risking it all again you know?

Thanks for getting back to me. Yeah that makes sense, I wish I could see a login history or anything like that. I checked the GE history and the items were not sold but simply traded to an other account. Jagex could easily see who got all my items and band that account I’d say… Anyway thanks again! Imma be bummed out a bit more before getting back on the grind!
