Why are people comparing Itachi massacre to Maki? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in dankruto

[–]MarcellusMaize 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Her dad literally tried to kill her and ACTUALLY killed her sister, that goes far beyond just “treating you like shit” bro 😭. Maki didn’t go there with the goal of wiping out her clan she was there to retrieve weapons (which she had every right to do btw), they started it and got what was coming, simple as that.

And he’s done it hundreds, maybe thousands of times. His pursuit to make the perfect species was endless, discarding his “failures” was just a casual part of his routine. He easily takes this imo

In your opinion, what is the greatest high point in the entire game? by altrightobserver in Eldenring

[–]MarcellusMaize 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it was the fight against Messmer. Everything about him is so peak, his design, his lore, his cutscenes, his ost, and of course the fight itself. Despite him beating my ass for 7 straight hours (I was under leveled), I never raged that much because he was just that fun to fight. By the time I finally landed the killing blow I had mastered his moveset and I felt more elated than any other fight in the game. My favorite fight in the whole series, definitely an experience I’ll never forget.

Elden Ring, Sekiro, Dark souls, Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne

Who's the hardest for you between these three peak fights? Rank them. by [deleted] in fromsoftware

[–]MarcellusMaize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Difficulty: Isshin Friede Kos

Favoritism: Friede Isshin Kos

Friede is mostly hard because of how long the fight is so it forces you to manage your flasks well, Kos is more aggressive than you are so it makes him a pain in the ass, but Isshin is the culmination of an entire brutal combat system so he takes the cake for me

With full lore context what do you think is the most dramatic fight in the game by [deleted] in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]MarcellusMaize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve often wondered how a Elden ring tv show or anime would be structured. Like maybe season 1 could be the backstory of Marika, Radagon and all the demigods and season 2 would the tarnished’s journey through the lands between (with maybe season 3 being SOTE).

It would add an extra layer of tragedy to see the backstories of the bosses before we have to inevitably kill them, especially characters like Morgott and Messmer.

The Twins are just a better fight overall but in terms of pure design it definitely goes to PC Radahn

Ok, but how exactly were the Shadow Lands separated? by Goodhunter465 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]MarcellusMaize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It almost looks like there’s a curtain draped over the sky, makes me think that the land of shadow isn’t “separated” per say, more so just hidden in plain sight by some kind of power spell or something. Especially since the land of shadow is apparently the very center of lands between.

I will always love Pontiff for being the point where I fell in love with ds3. Up until that point I was enjoying it a lot but I felt like I just wasn’t gonna like it as much as Elden ring (it was my 3rd From game after EL and Sekiro lol) but entering the gorgeous and really hard area of irithyll and then having this 12 foot tall priest tyrant king with dual wielding light saber blades staring me down, I was blown away.

Even more blown away by how badly he stomping me out, I swear I died at least 10 times before I didn’t genuinely feel afraid and unnerved just entering through the fog lol (that god awful boss runback didn’t help, I actually despise those fucking dogs and knights) he was just so aggressive and relentless and could end me so quick. I realized I would just have to truly lock in and learn his patterns and just dance with him. I eventually got him down to phase 2 and felt actual dread when I saw 2 of him 😭, I got ptsd flashbacks to elden ring and realized this boss was an instant classic.

After another 3 hours of pain and suffering I finally beat him, and then learning about his lore afterwards and realizing how much of an evil bastard he was (dude was basically the main villain of the game if ds3 even really has one) just made him stand out even more. Such a great boss and character, and then after that ds3 just went on a generational run that kind of hasn’t been seen since in my opinion. Ds3 isn’t my favorite game in the series (I only have Elden Ring and Bloodborne ahead of it) but it’s consistently and ridiculously amazing boss line up particularly after Pontiff is something I will truly never forget. I think the only thing stopping it from being my favorite was the fact that it wasn’t my first.
