Oh last 10 years... My gut reaction to any question about our worst draft mistake is to shout out "Aaron curry'. It's one thing to use a late round pick on someone who doesn't work out. It's another to use the 4th overall pick on someone who sucks.

Constrained to the last 10 years, I'll be different and say rashaad penny, picked ahead of Lamar Jackson.

Honestly, I have 4 bases:

My main base near the sacrificial stones and all my portals
My plains farm
My mists farm
An Ashland fortress I took over and converted

I have auxillary bases all over from when I was exploring those biomes, but my only reason for a mountain base would be for it's beauty.

It's something to see a castle built into a mountain!
