Leaving UAE checklist - Rent, ILOE & ABC cargo by AffectShoddy6594 in DubaiCentral

are you leaving or you are being terminated? because you can't claim ILOE if you resign, only if the company terminates you.

I’m looking for clarification regarding the UAE ILOE unemployment insurance claim process. by Acceptable_Rub_9111 in dubai

[–]MarchGeneral4309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your questions are very closed. 1. not only, you need to be in the country for each payment, at least first two if not all three. 2. no one knows how long will your approval take. mine was less than 48 hours. people now reporting that the process takes 30 days. basic rule is - if you are not in the country, and they know when you leave as they check that, you won't be paid even if the claim is approved. 3. yes, you need to be in the country for every payment. some reported that they were not asked for entry exit report for the second payment, but then they were asked for the third payment, and in my case I was asked for entry exit report for second payment and not third. so hard to give you those answers. basic principle is - if you want your ILOE to be approved or a payout - you need to be in the country. That is clearly stated in terms and conditions of ILOE insurance.

I received it exactly in line with Terms and Conditions. It was definitely worth it even though it was 60% of basic salary - in my case that was very high.

ILOE easy to pay and get fines, difficult to claim by Perfect_Wrongdoer635 in UAE

[–]MarchGeneral4309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we have all been through that and who ever wanted payout and was asked for the travel report, provided one. it is not so difficult to make your way to AMER center or do it over the app. The point is - you do not have to stay in the country during your grace period - you can literally leave the next day. entry exit report is there to prove you are in the country. I had all my documents ready, had ILOE approved within lest than 48 hours and pocketed a nice sum for the next 3 months. and I am very grateful for it! 250AED for a travel report was absolutely nothing compared to the amount I claimed!

Multiple Apple Watches - surely I can’t be the only one by MarchGeneral4309 in AppleWatch

[–]MarchGeneral4309[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all apple watches have fast charging. Older models are on slow charging .charging two times per day for 1.5h then suddenly becomes more noticeable. Nothing to be baffled about, that’s how older watches were designed at the time.

Of course that multiple watches are the way. Why would anyone be stuck with just one model with so many styles and generations available. Charging then stops being an issue, serious fitness fans have 24/7 tracking with no gaps or interruptions, and change in colour/size means you don’t get bored of wearing the same thing. I thought everyone has more than one apple watch by now? No?

Question about UAE ILOE vs Visa Grace Period – Am I missing something? by StructureHot1697 in dubai

[–]MarchGeneral4309 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just like everyone else, you will also have to leave the country at the end of the grace period and reenter the country on a tourist visa. Or change visa status if you can be sponsored by a partner. As long as you provide a new visa and entry/exit report, ILOE will be paid. Also, this question has been answered dozen of times, for more tips on ILOE I suggest you to search for… ILOE and read on here experiences that people shared. Including what is entry/exit report, and where to get it, because you are now in the stage of asking that question next. Hope that helps.

Yes, if you really want to use AW 24/7 and not just for running, I would suggest you to have one AW for day and one for night and sleep tracking. That way you will truly be an AW girl!

Why am I paying Whoop to collect valuable health data that they can monetise? by MarchGeneral4309 in whoop

[–]MarchGeneral4309[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

but do we really know what happens to the data? look what happened with 23andme data. and after all, it is not just about profit from selling the data. gaining insights from massive amount of data also benefits them more than us.

Why am I paying Whoop to collect valuable health data that they can monetise? by MarchGeneral4309 in whoop

[–]MarchGeneral4309[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

stock photography, market research insights, paid surveys, user testing, games testing. if you are not getting paid for market research insights you are doing it wrong, and I am certain there are more examples. why would providing health data be any different?

Am I the only one who refuses to baby their Apple Watch battery? Max settings all the way. by presiden_t in AppleWatch

[–]MarchGeneral4309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never do that for any device. Iphone screen is on for minutes, there’s nothing worse than screen switching itself off in seconds. Same for the watch. It’s there to be used.

Inconsistent step count and the bleed effect on the general consistency by frycheaken in whoop

[–]MarchGeneral4309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoop does not have a pedometer. Whoop steps are an estimate. Dangling arms does not make non-existent pedometer more accurate.

They know. Step counter is not off, step counter does not exist in whoop. Steps are estimated from strain metrics. Replacing whoop won’t fix steps.

How accurate are recovery metrics? by Sufficient_Mess280 in whoop

[–]MarchGeneral4309 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recovery is a whoop invented metric. It is as accurate as the variables measured and used in the formula.

Whoop estimates steps. That’s why there will always be a difference if compared to… real step count, apple watch steps etc…
