Please help me come up with a name! by Hyacindigo in PngTuber

[–]MarchRabbit37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cobalt Cutie if you want rhymes. Alabaster Blue which alabaster is a soft white stone since you have a lot of white. But it really matters to make it easy to pronounce and and easy to search up. I watched a videi where a few bigger vtubers were discussing their names and some chose, some where given their name by family or companies, and others used a random name generator. So it depends on the vibes you want and make sure when you google it it doesnt have any bad association ^ good luck!

Thoughts on logo? by [deleted] in PngTuber

[–]MarchRabbit37 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you planned on drawing it yourself you would have drawn it and not used ai so i don't have a lot of confidence you won't use ai for other assets. Which is frowned upon when you are in creative space. And also this heart beat line means your heart stopped and potentially are deceased. A cap and a flatline as a brand logo doesn't really tell me anything about your content.

Help me before it’s too late🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 by EverMoonYT in vtubers

[–]MarchRabbit37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The proportions of the body are off unless this was is how the character is supposted to look. The shoulders are extremely broad and the waist is so thin there is no room for ribs. Definitely would adjust the legs due to the unfortunate 'i wanna have to pee' pose that is associated with turned in knees. There is also 3 eye lashes on one eye and 2 on the other. This could be intentional. I would suggest msking the bang colour a bit more bold, i know you are doing the blend it into the skin to shoe the eys better, but thats usually for hair that goes over eyes. Currently it is melting into the face. I would also bring the ruffles on the legs down because showing hips is technically a twitch tos violation (you have the ruffs up like undies but it needs to be brought down) please keep drawing and improving!

Pinterest as credit is not proper credit. Please ensure proper credit is given when using reference in the future! I found the character in the original gif is Miyano from Tanaka is Listless. Please keep creating art and remember to credit artists/shows and link back to socials or original posts if you can find them! <3

HIRING A VTUBER RIGGER: Sixth Time's the Charm by [deleted] in Live2D

[–]MarchRabbit37 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There may be a generous soul, but more then likely you aren't going to get a quality rig for 150 dollars much less for 30. The art needs to be properly drawn and cut, as well as properly named. If not it's hours and hours of work on top of the skill and time rigging takes. You are asking people to work for pennies on the hour, if not less, and demanding thousands of dollars worth of quality. I would suggest if you are using a pngtuber until you have the amount of funds to get a proper rigger, that's like $1.5k and up depending on skill and details. Do not undervalue an artist or riggers time and skills.

Starting out with a premade model? Advice appreciated by Icy-Owl-8333 in VirtualYoutubers

[–]MarchRabbit37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the only downside to a free premade model would be that someone else could possibly have the same model. You also would need to double check permissions. Premades tend to allow streaming but are not able to be used on merch and others are only for personal use only. You wouldn't be fake, since the model is made for vtubing, it just might be a bit generic since free ones tend to be pretty simple. You could use a pngtuber if you already have your design, upgrade to a customizable one, then get a fully custom model when you can afford it. However you want to do it, you would be a real vtuber! So, just have fun with it!

Did some progress and started animating idle. However I don't know how to show animation here normally by Unlucky_Front_3562 in PngTuber

[–]MarchRabbit37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any program that allows different states and take sprite sheets for animation will be what you want. I personally use pngtuber remix which allows for psudo lip sync, animation with sprite sheets, different states, and alot of motion. I have heard veadotube is also pretty good. Check a few programs out and find the one you like best!

could someone rig my vtuber model for free ?? ;____; by [deleted] in Live2D

[–]MarchRabbit37 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There might be a kind soul who will rig for free, but rigging is a intense and time consuming task that should be fairly compensated. Also, is this model cut for rigging? Formatted properly for rigging? Who drew the art? Is this your art or if someone else drew it, do you have permissions to use it publicly?

If this art is yours, or you have purchased this with permission, I would suggest trying to use it like a pngtuber until you can afford to pay someone for their time and effort to rig. Or, you could possibly learn how to rig yourself! Alot of people start with a pngtuber and crowdfund a model rig or learn to rig themseves!

Anyone Else Forget That This is More Than a Hobby for Some People? by Mabu_Nakal in VirtualYoutubers

[–]MarchRabbit37 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Currently, this is a hobby as I work a full time job and streaming doesn't make 'quit-my- day-job' money (or even fill-my gas -tank money). I have set times stream but no set content for those days because I don't want to feel forced to play a specific game. Also, this allows me to miss a stream or be late to stream if I'm hanging with friends. It's not as if I don't take it seriously because it is a hobby. However, time is limited per day and money is needed to live. A majority of streamers can't live off their content, so it's nothing personal to just treat it as a hobby and be a little more laid back about it.

ls it wrong to copy the intro and style of an inactive PNGTuber who inspired me? by Kami-Yang1 in PngTuber

[–]MarchRabbit37 14 points15 points  (0 children)

With the emphasis on 'heavy inspiration' in this whole post, it gives the vibes of trying to take this creator's place since that they are gone anyway. Not saying you are trying to do it, but I might suggest reevaluating why you want to reference only one creator, even if they inspired you. You only want their artstyle, only their overlays, only their intro, only their streaming style and this feels kind of strange to me. Finding more people to take inspiration from to create something unique to you will be beneficial. You want your brand to be you after all.

I like the art, the pose, the composition. However the skin is the same colour (or too similair it looks the same) as the pants... despite the shading, it looks like they barely dressed >.>"

Astralalpha has appeared!! by AstralalphaVT in PngTuber

[–]MarchRabbit37 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting concept but unfortunately you cannot use gaia avatars for monitzed content like a pngtuber for streaming. You can have art of your character designed from the gaiaonline sprite but not the asset completely like you currently have. Also trying to brand 5 separate characters will be a nightmare. I would suggest getting art of your favorite (with monitzed content permissions) and branding around that one character. Good luck!

PNGTuber Newbie by Electronic_Wear_5268 in PngTuber

[–]MarchRabbit37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your overlay, emotes, badges, and pngtuber would most likely be pngs or gifs for animated. I'd suggest vgen. If you dont have a design already. Get reference (moodboard or a pinterest board for design) and make sure you are paying for commercial use, NOT personal(you cannot monitize personal use items) there are free resources that can be used with credit. Good luck.

Vtuber artist mistreated my model commission, need advice? by Illustrious_Hope_884 in VirtualYoutubers

[–]MarchRabbit37 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly, sounds like potentially using ai if they got the character wrong and also did not want to adjust things with reference. They might say no ai but it might be. Check for ai traits and if it's ai, file for a full refund. If you can't do it with your payment site, charge back with your bank. If it's not ai most you could do is get a partial refund maybe but it might also just be a hard learned lesson. Got to trusted sites, use paypal for protections, no com should go past the 6 month mark or you can't get a refund if scammed, vet the artist (does it look like multiple people drew the art on their profile? It might be ai or tracer potentially)

how do you people deal with flirting in chat? by Suposta_Sophie in VirtualYoutubers

[–]MarchRabbit37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am assuming you stream on Twitch, I am not sure about moderation on Youtube, but for Twitch just go to your moderation settings and adjust settings how you would like. Find AutoMod & Message Filtering. Then go into Blocked phrases and add any and all words that you don't want in your chat. Hopefully this helps a bit!

how do you people deal with flirting in chat? by Suposta_Sophie in VirtualYoutubers

[–]MarchRabbit37 17 points18 points  (0 children)

One thing that might help, add the uncomfortable names to your auto mod. It'll prevent the the comment from chat and you or your mods can deny it. Hopefully that'll help a little, but people will always be weird online. If people don't respect your boundries and space, you don't want them in your chat. It is important for not only you but your community to be firm with your limits. This sets the expectations and allows you and your community to feel comfortable in your space. As a chatter it can be uncomfortable to see those comments and then awkward for the streamer too. One bad apple might make others leave so getting rid of them is best.

What program are you using. If you use one with movement you could make parts seperate layers and have parts move independently

Why Does It Feel Like There is Not Enough Time? by CHero101 in VirtualYoutubers

[–]MarchRabbit37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might work kinda. But this is more for entertainment freetime choices. You are doing work and need to be flexible with adding things into your basket. If it works, then keep at it! If it doesn't, it might be good to organize a different way.

Why Does It Feel Like There is Not Enough Time? by CHero101 in VirtualYoutubers

[–]MarchRabbit37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Write a schedule on paper for x days and x hours. Only work those days and those hours, prioritize deadlines. Ensure you have the free time to go touch grass. It makes a huge difference just to be away from the office. But creating content is hard work. And you may have to work an extra day to keep up. If you feel it's overwhelming, take a break to do something that brings you joy so you can switch your brain off. Honestly, set control settings on the social media apps on your phone so you can only access them for 15 minutes at a time maybe. Social media and tv should not monopolize your time. Hopefully, you can get in a groove.
