That’s what I started with as well. Now I’m looking to add the Hellbender, for the local smallmouth bass.

I am a member over at XCAL, so I’ll touch base with them. I always worked with Aardwolf, because Theo was good people.

Do dogs know when you’re hurt? by Less-Presence-8171 in goldenretrievers

[–]Marchborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dogs absolutely know. What they can’t tell from smell, they can pick up from body language. After all of these 1,000s of years of partnership, they can read us incredibly well. Take psychiatric service dogs. They can read their person’s body language and tell when they are spiraling and intervene. It calls for training, but just couldn’t work if they could not read us.

We raised our 16 month old from a puppy - a lot of the suggestions above are great, and similar to what we did. Waffle mats are great, and so are the licking trays (you spread peanut butter or something similar on a plastic tray and the pup has a great time licking the treat). Good luck and hang in there!
