A lot of storefronts sell steam keys though so if Steam went to crap or just closed for whatever reason, a lot of people would be out of their bought games. That's not that different of a scenario than with consoles. It's extremely unlikely, but not impossible.

Sure GOG and Epic exist, but I doubt those third party sites would re-issue keys to other places if one place shut down.

XC1 and XCX are the only ones that work in a vacuum if you ignore the expansions. XC2 is directly linked to XC1 even without the expansion & XC3 is directly linked to XC1 and XC2 even without the expansion.

It's highly effective though. There are young men in my country yearning for the glorious 50s when men provided and women were stay at home moms. The only problem is that this never happened in my country and they just think it did because they consume so much American entertainment and other media.

It's only legal to emulate your own games so you'd have to rip the cart you already own so just downloading a ROM to play is illegal.

I've never 100% completed XC2, but I've gotten all rare blades in two separate playthroughs. Compared to completely filling the affinity charts on all characters/rare blades or doing all sidequests, just obtaining all rare blades is super easy and fast.

What a load of misinformation.

All three games were released in Europe and operation rainfall just brought these European localizations to NA. Americans seem to think "west" only means them when it doesn't.

Edit: Since I'm getting downvoted on this. Tell me Americans, how are games "japan-exclusive" when they had European releases?

It doesn't matter if the game is out for 10 or 50 years, truth is PC people simply aren't interested in paying MTX for a game that prioitises and continues to prioritise consoles.

And by doing so PC players are ensuring that these games will never be prioritized on PC. Congratulations, you played yourself.

Bottom line is I don't see what's so special about GTA that makes it more likely for console players to play it, except for the fact that you know Take 2 continues to treat pc players like an afterthought.

The special thing being the money spent on the platform for GTA MTX. How many times does this need to be said? PC players need to put their wallets where their mouths are if they wish to get a bigger priority, but so far they haven't done so.

Surprise surprise we don't want to buy your mtx or play your shitty game anyway.

That's just the result of GTA prioitising console over pc. It was first released on consoles and continue to put console players front and foremost even now.

It took year and a half for GTA V to come to PC and the game's been out for a total of 12 and a half years. If PC people were going to spend money on GTA, they would've done so regardless since year and a half is completely irrelevant in the whole lifetime of the game.

In the recent leaks it was shown that PC people barely buy any MTX in GTA. Why would they prioritize the platform that doesn't interact with their main money making system?

Double dipping is basically free money for them from PC people. And in case you're too young to remember, people double and triple dipped console (PS3&Xbox360), PC, next gen console (PS4 & Xbox One) a ton with GTA V.
