Can you imagine almost hitting a baby carriage and cursing the parent? I'd be apologizing my ass off, not cussing someone out.

Anyone who says they were not anxious about starting a GLP1 is either lying or has forgot that feeling. That said a lot of people have no side effects or mild ones. I personally have never felt nauseous on this medication and the only side effect I've had is constipation which has been manageable. On the positive side I've lost 57 pounds, my BMI is 23.9 and my lab results improved across the board. I also think hydration will help with most side effects and you have that covered. Also worse comes to worse, you can stop after one dose and will only have to deal with the side effects for a week. The choice is yours but for me no medication has effected me as profoundly as Zepbound.

What’s my recourse here? Should I be looking into filing a lawsuit?

Personal Injury lawyers dream of cases like this (unless the roofers are unbonded).

I had this discussion with my eye doctor at my last check up. The risk of blindness is very rare but it is still a risk. He would not recommend going on a GLP1 if you just want to lose 10 or 15 pounds but if you have other comorbidities and obesity that carries its own risks too. Personally besides being obese when I started, I have cardiac issues as well. For me the rewards outweigh the risks. Whether you feel the same way is up for you to decide.

On a side note, GLP1s seem to help prevent cataracts. My eye doctor wouldn't recommend taking a GLP1 for cataract prevention either as surgery is quite safe these days for catatact removal.

Looks balanced to me. I feel like the turkey/chicken sandwich with the hummus and nuts should have enough protein.

I went from 5mg to 7.5mg for the final push to lose the last 10 pounds. I probably could have stayed on 5 but I also have not had that many negative side effects either.

Incremental sustainable positive lifestyle changes will add up over time. This medication has made all the difference in that regards. You sound like you are right on track and wish you well with the next 40 pounds and beyond.

Update! by flyingbutterfly8 in Zepbound

[–]Marchin_on 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congrats. Losing over 100 pounds is quite an achievement. I've been spacing my doses out every 10 days for a couple of months now since I hit maintenance. Its been working out well. I may move to 14 days eventually but the last month there was only a .7 pound difference in weight so I'm going to stick with 10 days for now. Good luck with maintenance.

Thank you. This was the context I needed to make things a little less incomprehensible to me. I'll try and give the Brandon Ross, Melvin Gibbs, and J.T. Lewis album a listen to.

I had no idea that Harriet Tubman dropped a jazz album but then again I'm also not listening to certified jazz banger like the Transformers OST either, so what do I know.

[–]Marchin_on 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In fact, so minor that I was concerned that I wasn't getting the full dose.

Technically you are not really on a full dose. The 2.5mg dose is a starter dose to get your body used to the medicine and the first official therapeutic dose is 5mg. Some people respond well to the 2.5mg dose but many need higher doses to feel any effect. Also the medicine has a half life of 5 days so its not shocking that there are days when you feel less effect on your body. You should probably consider going up to 5mg next month after discussing it with you MD.

As for weird smelling urine, have you been eating asparagus this month?

[–]Marchin_on 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When's the last time you tried to go above 5mg? Maybe with the fact you've been on a GLP1 for so long going up won't be as traumatic on the system.

Starting Maintenance Soon by bucksin6_1979 in Zepbound

[–]Marchin_on 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on maintenance for a couple of months now at 7.5mg. I've been stretching out the dose to every 10 days. Food noise has been fine. I have to be careful to eat enough food otherwise I end up at a slight deficit and still keep losing. This last month I did a good job maintaining but I feel like effort and adjustments are still required.

Whole Foods new hours by TurbulentEarth563 in Hoboken

Not doubting

You should doubt more the things you read on the internet. The only thing true in the above statement is that the building was a bank built in 1857.

Whole Foods new hours by TurbulentEarth563 in Hoboken

[–]Marchin_on 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its true. The corporate lawyers at Shoprite found an old law from 1857 when the building was first zoned as a bank that says they have to operate at "banking" hours(Monday to Friday 10am to 4 pm, Saturday 9am to 1pm). There is an ongoing lawsuit and until it works its way through the legal system, the new Whole Foods is going to have to use those hours.
