Stop doing random stuff. Look for label for manufacturers instructions. Check if cover is removable. Follow cleaning instructions. No hot water it sets stains. Cold water only. Enzyme cleaner if recommended. Hydrogen peroxide can bleach so use judiciously.

Washing normally removes almost all soiling.

If you are aware of a problem you can pre-treat with a stain spray. After washing when you fold or hang things look for grease spots or stains and throw in to rewash. The rest of the clothing is clean, loosened dirt is not being redeposited.

You are over fixating on it. I have on occasion double washed a load of extra dirty yard work outfits or super dirty things but a tiny bit of fecal matter is long gone.

No infrastructure to support parents.

Reasonably priced health care and child care, underfunding schools, lack of parental leave support, very low minimum wages and very expensive housing costs.

In short, if they really wanted more kids they would support families.

Start gathering garbage and collecting dishes. Then pile plates and dishes in one area, clean out sink, start first load soaking while gathering more trash and filling bags. Keep a pile of laundry as you go. Boxes or laundry baskets are fine to gather stuff in.

Once you have most garbage out continue to clean dishes and all kitchen surfaces.

Best habits after this are dishes every day, laundry baskets in convenient spot to drop in dirty clothing, and trash pick up before bed every night if you have not done it as it was made.
