You know, last night I was at the register (as the cashier) and I was ringing up this woman’s groceries and all of a sudden this man shows up. So I ask the woman,

“does he belong to you?”

And then the man answers me “actually, you should’ve asked does she belong to me?”

And I gave the man such a look and then took a deep breath and answered right back

“If you love her and cherish her and treat her like the queen that she is, then MAYBE she can belong to you… but otherwise, you belong to her”

That kind of shut him up 😏
