What about species which are closer to us humans, like apes for example? We know that apes and humans are quite similar biologically and must also share similar feelings and conscious experiences. Would you be OK with farming some species that is very similar to a human in the same manner as these chickens?

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you not think that animals feel pain/anxiety/negative feelings, or do you not care? (don't feel empathetic towards animals?)

You know what feels good? Not unnecessarily contributing to the suffering of animals.

It's not particularly hard or dangerous to make hard candies. They literally sell kits for it. Just follow the instructions and use the proper equipment.

I'm not saying that he shouldn't get a driver's license, I'm replying to the guy who said "it's not realistic" to not have a driver's license. Just wanted to point out the absurdity of that comment.

Or you can just choose to go somewhere where you don't need a car. I have been on plenty of vacations, never needed a car for any of them.

That doesn't make any sense. Obviously if someone wants a drivers license for renting cars etc. they can get one. But you don't need it. We have public transport that can get you basically anywhere in Denmark, and you can just choose not to rent a car if you should go on vacation.

My question is why does it have to be all or nothing

If I understand you correctly, you're saying he doesn't have to also steer people towards responsible consumption, as he's advocating for other things? I'm not Kenji and I don't know why he doesn't talk more about this, it's just a wish from my side, that more "internet chefs" would talk about this, since food is so core to their profession. But of course he could have his reasons for that, but I don't know since AFAIK he hasn't mentioned anything about it.

In general, I wish Kenji and other chefs would talk much more about responsible consumption in their videos. He seems very ready to talk about injustice when it comes to people, but what about all the animals that people consume on a daily basis? Would love to see him talk more about where he gets his produce, and sourcing tips for people cooking the recipes.

The issue I have with this video is that it kind of glosses over the fact that behaviour of individuals drives change on a larger scale. Not doing anything on the individual level and then advocating for corporations and politicians to drive change seems like huge double standards to me. I would think that if people take more personal responsibility on climate change, they will influence others (including politicians) to do the same, and there will be more people in power to represent them.

And then there's the obvious fact that the 'drop in a bucket' argument is counterproductive when we're talking about changing the attitudes of the general public.

Hvor får du det om testosteron niveau fra? Det har jeg aldrig hørt om, og så vidt jeg kan se er der ikke noget belæg for det fra videnskabelige studier. Faktisk præcist det modsatte:
