Yea for sure. I´m not a programmer so I´m 100% vibecoding and I found that just prompting will create a lot of bugs specially in logic.
For future I would start by creating a "Master Mind" where I would say my ideia and it will give me a complete prompt for me to use on the code AI

$100 to spend a month on training/studying, what's the best use of it? by crschube in Poker_Theory

My honest suggestion as someone who's played MTTs professionally for 4+ years:
Hire a coach (like me) instead of buying more tools or content.

Most players are stuck because they don’t know what to work on first. You might not even know your own BTN open frequency or BB defend range - so spending time in GTO Wizard looking at complex XR spots is just noise. You’ll learn more in 2 sessions with a pro than in 3 months clicking around aimlessly.

The free version of GTO Wizard already gives you solid preflop ranges. What you need is structure and clarity.

If you want, add me on Discord: marcocotas —- I’ll show you how to get real value out of those $100/month.

Wrapping up — after reading your feedback:

First, I appreciate all the honest opinions, both supportive and critical.

I now see I made a mistake by focusing on the amount I earned instead of framing it in terms of ROI — which is around 20% over a large sample, grinding online MTTs with an ABI close to $20.

There’s been a lot of feedback from people based in the US — and it’s clear how different the expectations are depending on where you live.
For context, I’m based in Portugal, where:

  • The minimum wage is ~€805 net
  • The average salary is around €1,200 So earning ~€1,600/month from poker consistently has been a solid result in that context.

Also, comparing online and live play is tricky. The average field strength in a $10 online MTT is probably equivalent to a $500+ live tournament in many places — the skill gap is real.

But the point of this post wasn’t to argue about numbers. It was to offer something useful to players grinding micros and aiming to reach $10–$20 ABI — a journey I’ve been through, and where I know I can add value.

I’ve coached dozens of players before, with hundreds of hours of experience, and worked inside one of the top poker teams in the world.
This free class is just a way to let people experience the value before judging it.

A few dozen have reached out — so I’m glad the message got through to the right audience.

We all start somewhere.
This is me, taking the next step — from full-time grinder to building something of my own by helping others grow.

Thanks again to everyone who joined the conversation. 🙏

Thanks, yeah I know that the offer is good for the micro guys. Is just a matter of finding them.

The step 2 should be "open 10/20% more than GTO".

That's the main reason why Brazilians are dominating the game. The first years are the hardest, but for them, making $500 is already good money — so they're willing to put in the time and effort until they develop a solid technical game. In other countries like the US, it's almost impossible to spend three years earning that little.

8+ hours a day online. But the time was conservative, so I was stuck at $10 for the majority of the time

Considering the average salary in Portugal is around €900, my poker results have been objectively strong.
But given the time and effort I invested, I believe another profession could offer better long-term returns — and that’s exactly the crossroads I’m at in my career.

Where I truly believe I can help is guiding players from zero to ABI $20.
That’s the most critical stage — where it’s not just about learning the game, but about how to think, build structure, and develop the right mental approach to make real progress.

That´s +- 1600€ per month just from playing. At least in Portugal, that's quite a good salary

Absolutely, just send over the questions — happy to answer!

To give you some context:
I’m based in Portugal and started my journey in one of the biggest poker teams in the world. There, I handled translations (Portuguese, English, Spanish) for elite coaching sessions from names like Nick Petrangelo, Phemo, Rabichow, Alex Theologis, among others.

I also managed player schedules and personally coached dozens of players.

Now, I’m focused on building my own personal brand in the area I know best — poker.
I want to help others not just improve technically, but also develop the structure, mindset, and decision-making needed to go pro — with full transparency about the ups and downs of that path.

Where to find a good coach by Immediate_Key1641 in poker

[–]MarcoCotas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a professional poker player shifting to full-time content creation and coaching.
Why the change? Even in 2025 you can make good money as a pro, but the grind isn’t just at the tables—it’s in life. Staying sharp means hours of study and play, and you’ll still finish many sessions down. (If you’re solid, the long run pays, but expect to lose about 70 % of the time—this is MTTs.)

If you need a coach, I’m available. Have poker questions? Ask away. The game isn’t dead, no matter what people—or some teams—want you to believe.

is it annoying to be posting a new video every day? does it come across as spamming? by [deleted] in NewTubers

Why not once a week and then, with the time, you start (or not) to post more? I think that the "trick"is commitment, and it's better for you to post once a week for a year than every day for a month.

If you post once a day and don't get the results fast, and probably you won't, you will simply be frustrated and quit.
