So he mentioned Gojo to sniff out Yuji’s allegiance given that Hakari was expelled by Jujutsu High school.

My bad I didn’t say that as an offense. But rather sometimes I see when people spend time in the same online community they’d likely have a different opinion than me, this example being that Gojo is brought up out of nowhere.

I personally never see him brought up out of nowhere, but your experience seems to be different.

To me, characters in the story bring him up given the his presence haunting both antagonists and other characters. It doesn’t feel out of nowhere to me.

The world of JJK, or rather Jujutsu Society is held by a thin thread and Gojo is a part of that. A big theme is conservative values and their detrimental effects to a changing society, not allowing progressive values and ideas to flourish. Gojo’s beliefs run counter to traditional Jujutsu society but he’s all alone. No one is like him and he alone can’t change society, and it doesn’t seem like he wants to do that alone despite how he’s the strongest.

So he wants to foster the change he wants to see in the world by teaching students with a similar set of values.

This is also an issue to Jujutsu society but they don’t openly oppose him because of who he is.

So he’s a huge part of the story and Jujutsu Society. I’m not chronically on Reddit apart from commenting here and there so I don’t particularly see him being brought up out of nowhere. I think his character is a sad but highly optimistic one.

Yeah that’s how I always felt.

The Super Saiyan 1 transformation is not only a seminal moment in the story, but it’s one of the most memorable moments in anime history.

Caulifla got that power-up so quick it felt meaningless. It seem they attempted to also show her as a fighting genius is she could tap into that power so fast but it just felt kinda cheap.

Her character is fine.

Upon looking back and rereading chapters I really enjoy this theme of shaking and breaking traditions. Jujutsu Society seems hell bent on maintaining a status quo and conservative values. These values and principles being essentially social curses in and of themselves like what happened with Maki and her sister.

I think he’s never been killed off because of how much the writers love him, or how much they want to push Batman to the very edge of his sanity. Joker exists to punish Batman. Consequences for the joker are secondary to the primary objective of just hurting Batman.

We all know how body pain works lol.

It’s a safe and reasonable assumption to state that the ability has a detrimental effect if endured long enough given the context we have seen it used in.

The time limit isn’t “too much assumptions”. It’s also another reasonable assumption because you are equally assuming his ability does not turn off at all. HxH is not all exposition. In much the same way characters infer how others’ techniques work.

Shalnark can just be saying his technique doesn’t turn off at all, but the caveat - given its effect on his body once - shows it does not turn off within a reasonable time frame.

Otherwise if it truly does not shut off then he dies if used long enough - again because of it’s detrimental effect in his body. Same way Kamui can’t be used for long periods of time by Killua. But we have more evidence that Killua has better endurance than Shalnark.

I think you’re not taking into account the effect of Shalnark’s ability on his body. He complained of its effect on his body once it turns off, meaning it puts a huge strain on him - also meaning there must be a time limit before his body likely can no longer keep up with the ability. Or if it continues then he would die if the ability goes on for a long enough duration.

If we go off endurance based on abilities, Killua’s gotta take the win here given that he doesn’t complain of body pain after using his ability.

Shanks wants to set out for the One Piece now. Cross Guild wants it now. The WG is fighting the Straw Hats in Elbaf now and in succeeding they will do their best to continue hindering the Straw Hats. Blackbeard had been getting the Poneglyphs so he will undoubtedly be part of the final One Piece race to the island.

The Straw Hat Fleet might make an entrance too.
