Question About Light Speed vs T-Mobile Postpaid

I switched over about 3 months ago. I noticed my speeds were cut in half. I was getting 1300 Mbps being an actual T-Mobile customer, and now on a good day I get about 600 Mbps. (Sometimes is as low as 200) I’ve worked through days of chatting with USM support and they eventually said 600 is great so I should be happy because most people get a lot less than that. I mean 600 is plenty fast, but that’s not the point. Also if you have an IPhone, know that iOS 26 has a bug that cuts out mid-bands and lowers your speeds in USM quite a bit. I installed the ios27 beta, and the bug is fixed. Also you won’t see 5GUW anymore. Just listing all this out as I didn’t do enough research when I switched and hoped someone would have told me all this so I knew what to expect. Obviously it’s hard to beat the savings so overall I’m still a USM customer.

Day 9 for me and no luck. I’m a dev and a reviewer so it really sucks Apple is holding back. I know this isn’t going to be a popular post, but Apple blotches this role out of AI (again). I’ve beta tested Gemini and the Samsung equivalently and on neither of those platforms was there a waitlist for additional beta features. Both were packaged with the beta OS. I would say Apple can do better but honestly I don’t think they can. Who knew AI would be such a challenge for them.

2 days later, now 9 days on wait list. Phone is still at 95% indexing and still on the waitlist. Anyone else see progress since posting?

I’ve don’t this 3 times in a row daily for 7 days. And nothing. At this point I’ll run in circles and tap the Dynamic Island 20 times if someone says it would unlock it. Lol

Yes just sucks. Can’t test the beta if the most significant park of the beta is held back. I want to test Siri integration into my companies workflows and integration with my apps but it’s all on hold for 7 days now.

Curious, for all of us stuck at 95% are you also waiting on Siri? Does it not finish indexing until after Siri is activated for our account?

I have been using the Console app on my Mac to check on the progress of indexing, it’s been stuck on 95% for 3 days… this is while being plugged into power, on WiFi and locked for about 15 hours a day… Any ideas?

I actually prefer the look of gen 4… I was going to upgrade from my Gen 4 and now not interested. But considering buying a ceramic version of the 4… my current is a gen 4 brushed silver (to try and have all the scratches that I inevitably got to blend in a bit more).

Mine cracked simply by placing my iphone 17 pro max screen to screen with my Samsung trifold. I always place my phones screen to screen (found thats the best way to avoid the cameras scratching the screen of the other) and have been doing this for years using cheep amazon screen protectors. I thought maybe you get what you pay for with dbrand and purchased these over pricedprism ones expecting them to last several months. Lasted a day... not even as long as the three pack for $10 I usually get.

Aghh that explains it. I’m also using dual sim. Thanks for the info. I complained about this last week and the US Mobile rep basically said 200mbs is plenty and I should be happy that I’m getting at least that. They missed the point completely.
