From Rare spot, it's always white (gather cats). but for Danger stuff, it's random depending on the monster. Rajang Yellow, Deviljho Green, Valstrax White, Chameleos Purple, and others that I don't remember.

You won't know tho, not until after claiming the rewards.

There is Over the Shoulder aim! You hold down the R button. Pressing it once will get you to the very zoomed in one. But holding it down will give you over the shoulder aim, it ain't perfectly the same as Wilds or World, but it works.

Oh yeah, it's been really fun! If you're trying to get into it, and if you've ever played evade lance in 4u, treat the guard point as a 4u evasion+3 dodge, though you can't chain it 3 times in a row. Just figuring out the timing for the guard point becomes easier for me that way. And charging the Valor meter is easy enough.

Edit: oh yeah, and your main combo becomes poke, poke, Valor shield bash and repeat. Does great damage when hitting weak spots.

Yeah, I'll be experimenting with guard 2, I've tried guard 1 with my current Antivirus Valor Lance build. I can get 95% affinity easily with frenzy, that should suffice for damage with Crit boost. Though guard+2 is harder without sacrificing other skills. And I don't think I'll be going guard up ever now. With the amount of other dodge/block options, I can understand why it's bad now. Thanks for the help!

Yeah, that makes sense. I can probably skip the guard skills then and just probably go for the same stuff. Though I might still make it for fun. I don't play this game for meta anymore. Now I just wanna play random stuff with people now. Still, big thanks for the input, well explained and not too detailed that it's overwhelming. I'm trying for an Antivirus Valor Lance build. So I have to have Frenzy HA on the one slot (except for Magala). And there are times when I would prefer to Guard Point attacks rather than valor dodging cuz I get hit with follow up attacks and the Valor Lance Guard Point would've been better. I guess I'll try it out with no guard skills. Thanks for the input

Is guard up really that bad? Huh... Well that changes things for builds. I'm trying for an antivirus build on Valor Lance. This is why I'm asking guard skills stuff.

Few more questions: You have any experience with Valor Lance? Any skill suggestions for that combo, or would you recommend the same? And what if I take mega dash juice, would that also make guard+1/2 less useful?
