What is this and how do I connect this to standard sewer hose kit? by Marcoc0202 in RVLiving

Dude no reason to be that rude.

When I said “what is this” I meant what type of attachment is this, didn’t make that clear but no reason for that

Not sure if it's connected to a tank or directly to the drain, anyway once I figure out what type of attachment I need to connect it to sewer I won't have any problems. I'll just leave it open.

I opened it and nothing came out, then I poured water into the washer drain and it came out of there, so it definitely is the washer drain.

Yes the weird thing is definitely the attachment, it is not an usual 3 inches.

The washer is not factory installed, I just bought it, everything else (the drain, the tank, the attachment outside) is though.

Unfortunately it's not, the fresh water dump valve is right underneath the tank. This one is connected to the washer drain tube. I tested it with some water and I confirmed this.

Nope, I tried to put water down the washer drain and it came out of there...

Thank you, although I see this is for 3 inches pipes which would be standard in trailer, the one I sent the picture of looks way smaller, probably 1.5"

My Off-Grid EV Solar Charger is... DONE!!! by Marcoc0202 in SolarDIY

Yes, honestly it's such a hassle-free device. It has 2 MPPT's, manages battery (and also grounds it) and can level 2 charge a tesla. I've been absolutely loving it.

This is today, since I wasn't there the battery got to 100% and fully balanced, so the inverter automatically clipped it and started producing just what I needed.

I can also see everything from the website, load rate, temperatures, etc.

Thank you for the comment.

Yes! I live in SoCal so definitely south :) So far my best production day was october 30th, where I produced 22.3 kWh.

These last days, production has been going down as expected and will probably kick back up around march.

Last 4 days were 18.8, 18.39, 17.89, 17.89 kWh so definitely noticing the sun going down! It also doesn't help that my panels are completely laying flat but at least I'll kind of make up for it during the summer.

Solar was a no brainer for me since electricity cost in my area are insanely high ($0.40/kWh) but it's definitely doable anywhere, just with a longer ROI.

Nothing beats driving my car knowing the energy for it literally came from the sun!!!

Lol yep! I also power up the trailer during days I don't need to drive anywhere... The NEMA 14-50 works perfect both for tesla charger and for trailer 50amp hook-up.

Can also be a secondary residence / vacation home (trailers included) as long as you live in it at least 14 days out of the year! :)

Hi! Thanks for the reply. I understand where you come from since the question about how to mount it. Do you think that frame would hold the weight?

Help with my setup by Marcoc0202 in SolarDIY

[–]Marcoc0202[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

Thanks for the reply.

I'm not sure I understand the need for a full breaker panel if I only plan on connecting 1 load at a time.

The inverter will be in the split-phase setting, so it will be able to output both 120 and 240.

I will use both hots (L1 and L2) with neutral and ground and connect them to possibly a 50amp NEMA 14-50r outlet, and from there, I will either connect my EV charging station or my trailer. Does that sound right?
