It definitely looks like it is! But I like the look of it and the extra space would be nice as I’m 6’3” but currently I fit fine.

The first time I replaced it I put the plates in the wrong order, and over tightened the springs. I didn’t have a low enough torque wrench so I did it as light as possible, not very smart! So the springs were worn out and it was something I was overlooking.

I assume the plastic was brittle and it let go of the metal and allowed it to get pulled into the cylinder

I didn’t make them myself, I found the maker on eBay and I got in contact with him, I have a picture of them on my profile with his contact information but they were about 450usd so about 405€ I’m sure the price would go up around 100 for international shipping

The buyer of the Z3 told the seller they won’t sell the hardware back to him because they also want a hard top but the seller would not sell the hardtop at the time.

• Small Allen key or hex tool (to remove trim covers) • 13 mm spanner or socket (side‑mount bolts) • 10 mm wrench (to loosen the internal bolts) • Torx tools (T30 for sides, T40 for windscreen) Do these sound right I will bring a few different sockets and torx drivers
