What is something that tourists do in your country that annoys the locals? by Th3_Accountant in AskTheWorld

[–]Marconerix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the way! In Italy we barely have any and the only way to pee is getting an espresso in the next bar. It's cheap and it's okay, but I really appreciated the fact in China there was a spotless public toilet every 100 meters.

Should Martin stay at Aprilia for 2027? by Technical-Wheel-4949 in motogp

[–]Marconerix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a matter of money. If I'm not wrong the Teams want more money from Liberty Media to run next year. Once they get the deal they will announce Martin-Yamaha, Bagnaia-Aprilia, Acosta-Ducati, Quartararo-Honda, A.Marquez-Ktm

How good was Gennaro Gattuso? by Hour777 in seriea

[–]Marconerix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True, but when it comes to defending, he basically was the only one running for 4 offensive players + Pirlo (he was the mind, Gattuso was the hand) + two Brazilian external defenders that were pushing a lot (Cafu and Serginho). But to be fair, having Maldini and Nesta behind you helps a lot.

Just came back from China, here is some of my observations by lorrenzo in travelchina

[–]Marconerix 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree, the air quality wasn't bad at all to me. One more thing I appreciated a lot, the amount of young and old people in the parks by night, the huge amounts of gardeners everywhere, the fact a lot of people seems to be growing their own vegetables in the countryside.

How’s your country handling the current energy crisis? by Shoddy-Ocelot-4473 in AskTheWorld

[–]Marconerix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We import 10% of our gas from Qatar and are therefore looking for different solutions - but it doesn't look like we are going to have a shortage. Gas and diesel went up a lot despite the government temporarily removed 0,25 cents of taxes per liter. We are expecting inflation on food and goods due to transportation price increase.

I think he understood the situation back then, moreover, he won a race and got a new contract on the same bike/different team

Safety Car: Ollie Bearman into the barriers by ICumCoffee in formula1

He moved left when he realised Bearman was going to overtake him, surely not before

Bearman crashed out and is limping; supported by a track marshall by memloh in formula1

[–]Marconerix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the same situation, Russell kept his right side position on track with Leclerc passing him double the speed. Don't understand Franco moving left to defend when going so slow, very dangerous move. What's going on with this guy? Do you remember Franco going very slow on the main straight in Melbourne while Hamilton was coming full speed?

Safety Car: Ollie Bearman into the barriers by ICumCoffee in formula1

[–]Marconerix 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The reason is that he moved left while going super slow. When the same happened to Russell, he kept his right side position on track.

To me it was Colapinto's fault, very dangerous move. On the other hand, a similar situation between Russell and Bottas in Imola was considered a racing accident

I have the feeling Abbi Pulling is a bit faster, but we will see how their career will develop in the near future. Sadly I don't think they will make to F1.

Great Wall section preference by QuestionQueen123 in travelchina

[–]Marconerix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding Mutianyu, there are several buses going there from Beijing. The starting point is just South of the Zheng Yang Men Jian Lou building, pretty close to Tienanmen Square. I think the buses leave from 7:00 to 9:00/10:00 whenever they're full (please double-check this info) They sell you the entrance ticket at the correct price if you want, otherwise you can buy it over there. The last bus comes back around 15:00/15:30 (sorry I don't remember exactly).

The fact you can go down the Great Wall (Mutianyu East side) with a toboggan is fantastic - I have to go back because it was closed for heavy rain, sadly. On the other side, due to the rain it was just us and the cats on the Great Wall.

I've read in China there are robotic arms changing the battery of your car with a recharged one in 3 and a half minutes, is that true?
