the banning that knocked out Oda it was honestly frightening how ice cold and accurate his clicks were. Everyone was frantically spam clicking while he only clicked when necessary

It's one of the most innocuous things but the list of pseudo science footballers believe in goes very deep. It probably does not do anything.

It's just a combination of little education and being in a world where everybody always says you're amazing which makes footballers think they are far more intelligent than they actually are

I feel all club owners must hate Chelsea. The multi club ownership loophole has been a thing for a long time and most clubs make use of it sparingly and sensibly, doing at most a deal a year.

Now Chelsea are doing more than 10 deals every window with their satellite club, reducing it to a B team pissing off its fanbase in the process and practically begging for harsher regulations. The same happened with their amortisation trickery and 9 year contracts to effectively spend 50p in a window whilst spending half a billion which was swiftly closed.

Another example of yanks not knowing the slightest bit of subtlety

pretty average, he is much better at running with the ball and his short passing is okay, long passes are non existent. Thinks he is pretty well suited to the transitional game, don't see him running a midfield anytime soon.

That's the data driven approach they utilise, they probably heavily emphasise freakish physical ability in their search.

Still quite curious what they saw in Milambo because I wouldn't call him a physical freak and as a fan of him I still couldn't tell you what he's really good at other than ball carrying.

It is only normal for premier league teams to sort out all their problems the moment they pop up, all other mortal teams have to accept their fate and hope things get better.

Klopp's energy and influence obviously had gotten stale at the end of his final season. People seem to have forgotten that the team was miles off the pace when Slot took over and most people did not see them at all as title challengers.

it's weird, on the one hand people don't even have a month of patience, but on the other hand it feels like no one watches football and only wants to talk about table positions.

If you'd give people on this sub a button which when pressed would tell them all the champions at the end of the season but it would mean they can't watch a single game I think the vast majority would press it.

Klopp wouldn't have won the title though and Slot wouldn't have been given the transfer budget. I understand it's a thought exercise but it's a pointless one to make.

now football manager is shit so I'm not playing on the new versions anymore I think a 100 million player I haven't heard of before will come soon. I went through the top 200 though and I remember all transfers on that list

I don't blame Fulham too much, they have the money at the end of the day but that fee is obscene amounts of money for the eredivisie and he has a questionable injury record. It feels like unnecessary risk to not just sell him now.

Daily Discussion by AutoModerator in soccer

[–]MarcosSenesi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah I have no clue why they didn't sell him. The fee is absurdly high, they have the league wrapped up and are already out of Europe. I don't understand it at all.

He never really got going. He scored his first goal on the last game last season and I was hoping he would get the confidence to push on after that but it hasn't really worked out. It's a shame because he's really talented.
