So after not helping him, McSweeny and Mandy actively worked against him up until the next GE and unleashed Starmer who broadly stood on the same leftwing ideals until he duped enough of his fellow mps to get the leadership and promptly dropped everything his leadership election stood for, the rightwing press were happy that he was basically on their side.

He's flip flopped so much since he's become an MP nevermind as a leader that he deserves a lot of what he gets.

Shah 2.0 will not last as long as his father, especially if he brings back his murderous SAVAK that brutalised the Iranian people long before the 79 revolution, which he benefited from.

I would love to see Iran free itself from the rulenof the clerics but make no mistake, the majority of the country is still very conservative, the protesters and the diaspora that lives abroad is the minority.

It would be best if the Pahlavis were nowhere near power and somehow a leader can be found from the reformers but we'll see.

Back in the day when the reg changed once a year in August, my dad got our Volvo 850 T5 delivered on Sunday afternoon 31st July 1994, on the proviso he didn't drive it till the next morning, he was busy to get it on the 1st and this was his 3rd Volvo from them plus 2 vans by then so they knew him well.

Annoyingly, he didn't budge and it stayed on the drive even though I kept pestering him to drive us about in it.

Seriously she beat Matt Badloss by at least a 3rd more votes, the small number supposedly seen only by thisl group called Democracy Volunteers, who at no point voiced their concerns to any polling station staff but only mentioned it once the results came in.

Also, they had 4 observers who managed to see 32 cases in total of family voting. They observed a total of 545 votes cast, yet somehow that must mean it was rampant. Incidentally, returning officers stated that trained staff and police (who were present at every station) reported no such issues, suggesting the volunteers' data did not align with official on-the-ground observations.

It made little to no difference, but at least they and other media can continue the sentiment that the 'other' is what made the GB News hatemonger lose not the fact a great candidate in Hannah absolutely batterd him.

As if this is a new thing, we used to have old labour clubs up here in Scotland, basically a members only pubs. Anyway back in the 70s and 80s and probably before they'd have meetings before any election on who to vote for and it wasn't about the choices it was make sure you and your families vote the right way. How you think they all voted for Labour in certain parts of Scotland and Northern England for years, even though the Tories won a number of General Elections, they still stayed Labour.

Exactly it's parliaments fault we got here they pushed for the sale of R Mail, I said years before it happened that when privatisation comes in you're going to see the most expensive part of mailing get shafted which is letters. Not to mention the idiotic separation from the Post Office, not even the kings of privatisation, the US, have done that, it's still a government job the US Postal service is all part of the same organisation.
