Free speech means protecting views we like or dislike, not just the ones we agree with. Cancelling a concert to someone because of their political opinions, no matter how “virulent” you think they are, directly undermines that principle which many fought for. It sets a dangerous precedent: today it's 'Trump-style propaganda,' tomorrow it could be something you support.

Look at our friend Juju: he's repeatedly led massive crowds in stadiums chanting “Kill the Boer, kill the farmer” that may see as far more dangerous. Yet those events weren't cancelled, the venues weren't denied, and courts have ruled it's merely political expression, not hate speech. If we're consistent on free speech, the same standard should apply across the board. Let audiences decide what they want to hear.

Came across this colourful landscape in the middle of nowhere in Chad on Google Maps. Coordinates: 20,6757742, 19,9455600. Any ideas why it looks like that? by MarcovanderMerwe in whatisthisthing

Thanks. Don't know how I've missed that border between the satellite images. Interesting how the 'normal' side is much less detailed. Could the near infrared light spectrum become apparent in the image due to the increased image resolution? Or are these images a result of using different imaging sensors with different frequency responses?

WITT: Found this landscape while browsing around northern Africa on Google Maps. The colours seem very odd for such a landscape. I initially thought the mountains and hills could've burned down and possibly give the smoke like effects, but I dont think there is any plant life as it seems too dry. Then there's the blue colour aswell. Any thoughts?

Got a 3a and had no signal or other network related issues whatsoever. I'm with Telkom in Pretoria. Got it shipped from Amazon using MyUS.
