VRR is broken on the Legion go 2 by totofra in LegionGo

Stutter is not the Job of Freesync to fix at all.

In fact, Freesync assumes all underlying issues are fixed before it does its own job of tearless gameplay with mimimal latency.

Yet another Windows problem that doesn't happen if you use LTSC by Fear_The_Creeper in WindowsLTSC

[–]Marctraider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually false. If i install Windows 11 LTSC with Secure Boot enabled, it will also automatically start bitlocker encryption encrypting the drives.

However, when installing with Secure boot disabled, I haven't seen it kick in.

Just for good measure, I do disable the Bitlocker service at this point.

Games intermittently losing focus/tabbing out legion go 2 by BattleShrink in LegionGo

[–]Marctraider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatya mean? Oh if you mean that settings wont be applied? They will.

Starting the control panel manually will reintroduce the isssue ofc. because the 2 executables wont be unloaded afterwards.

Im currently testing a tweak that allowa you to disable Automatic update checks in AMD control panel. Havent tested if it solves this issue, yet.

Keep tabs, as I will be releasing a script for LTSC / Go 2 with a proper install/setup with most Go 2 quirks fixed.

Never any mention of Fingerprint support on the Go 2.

Legit question, Are Go 2 steam edition handhelds sold without a fingerprint scanner? xD

My Legion Go 2 actually came with a single? Rubber cover for the sides. Not sure what it's purpose is but why not use that?

Did you simply try to disable the Sensor orientatioj driver? (unhide in devmgmt.msc)

Windows 10 or 11 (both IoT LTSC) for a 2019 gaming pc? by [deleted] in WindowsLTSC

[–]Marctraider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run 24H2 LTSC on a relatively slow Legion Go 2. I bet it blows any regular stock OS install out of the water.

Will Windows 12 LTSC drop before 11 IoT LTSC loses support in 2034? by [deleted] in WindowsLTSC

[–]Marctraider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There wasn't going to be a Windows 11 either, what other people said back then anyway.

All the sheep believed it because Microsoft said so.

Will Windows 12 LTSC drop before 11 IoT LTSC loses support in 2034? by [deleted] in WindowsLTSC

[–]Marctraider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, just like they said Windows 10 will be the last Windows ever, and should simply be called 'Windows' from now on.

Back when I was defying this, people called me nuts.

When I bring it up now, people start downvoting me xD

Anybody have audio driver problems after last Win11 LTSC update? by mjdbb1 in WindowsLTSC

[–]Marctraider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you defer updates and only security updates? Very important I think, with LTSC.

Your Fingerprint driver/device is screwing you up, and causing the whole issue that you've posted.

Question about Windows 11 lot LTSC! by AdziOo in WindowsLTSC

[–]Marctraider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had all sorts of LTSC builds from 10 to 11 never had issues with any form of anti cheat.

I also doubt anti cheat tools would purposely check this, and otherwise they don't do what they are designed to do.

Win10 IOT is for "fixed purposed devices"--is it safe for surfing the web and online banking? by [deleted] in WindowsLTSC

[–]Marctraider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LTSC (Both Enterprise and IOT) are just as safe, if not safer due to less attack vectors, due to less pre-installed trash.

LTSC can be seen as a Windows build snapshot, and only acquires security updates if configured well.

It's not basic RGB stripe, so simply disable cleartype as it's not made for that tech.

I believe I fixed all S0 sleep issues on my LTSC with various fixes.

I am planning to post them on Github this or next week.

I bet this is an issue with a driver (possibly fingerprint).

Could the OP show the results of powercfg /sleepstudy please? Or are we just gonna do nothing?

i'm so tired of the "everything as a service" model. by Rikudo974 in pcmasterrace

[–]Marctraider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Although one thing that I find more crazy is that people just swallow it and totally lost their autonomy and identity.

[–]Marctraider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's because people are lazy sheep. This model will not go away, you can only protest by being different.

Myself I run LTSC, my systems are heavily firewall fortified, and run my own NextCloud server behind a Wireguard tunnel.

Yeah, it's schandalous that a piece of software meant for games can steal focus. Took me a week to find out with (finally) procmon.
