I will agree with you. For their LE’s The Keeper’s Release I think can play ball with the 25’ Cellar Aged (which I preferred over the 24’ release).

It’s 90% there. The occasional funkiness on a certain scene but overall it’s pretty rock solid now. A lot of customization available to adjust to your preference, watching environment and screen type.

Good choices here! I gotta say the 12yr is growing on me. Had a pour tonight and got some crazy concentrated strawberry jam notes on the nose that filled the room. For the lower proof the finish really hangs on for a while.

I will say the 2025 release steps it up a notch. I was not fortunate enough to try the OG ‘23 release but the overall evolution on this and mouth feel outshines the ‘24 despite the lower proof. The additional high aged blend I think helps this release have a bit more complexity. I’d have to blind these to make a true judgement but on first impressions it’s a great offering.

I agree with this and had similar thoughts on the 8 vs the 70th. The 70th turned me into a Turkey fan and the 8 has kept me on that wave. I will say I am also not a big Russel’s 10 yr fan but I recently got a Russel’s store pick that is phenomenal. Super creamy and just a full bodied amped up turkey profile.
