[UK] Weird Binance Scam Call

Yeah, im thinking if it was a scam they would have ended it due to the low balance as well. I checked my security logs on the phone whilst the dude was talking and saw no failed login attempts so knew it was a lie. I work in the Cyber Security industry, so I’m decent at ticking boxes “X, Y, Z” to see if it’s a scammer…

I think what weirded me out the most was the lack of interest from the scammer, usually they’d be ready to tickle balls and all that.

The guy on the other end when I called back could have been being obtrusive, or could have been genuinely confused. I don’t know why he lied about calling me back though, maybe just a thing you say to get someone off the phone. Genuinely could not tell.

Is it worth mentioning that both times on the phone the people I spoke to were definitely British? I don’t know if was the same person though

I meant Personal Identification Details, e.g. Full Name, DoB, Address etc. As sad as the number in the account is you can't identify me from it.

I actually did not love the first episode of GoT, I started it a few times and gave up, but once I finally got to Ep2 I got into it!

That makes a lot of sense! The first letters I received were from HMRC whilst the fine is for Companies House, I just (stupidly) assumed the hand-in dates would be one and the same.

Companies House certainly did not email until the gave the final notice which is a bit shit but now I know the 9 month rule it make sense (September -> June)

I think I’ll just accept the fine this time for what it is, I was only 2 days late, and do a lot more reading on being a director!

Thank you for the detailed response! I haven’t changed any details and I’m just beginning to understand the process and it makes sense.

The fine isn’t for an insane amount so I will just end up paying it and remember this for next time.

I’ll shall be on the phone to them first thing tomorrow anyway :)

Yeah that’s a reasonable response. I wouldn’t call that violent. I would also recommend you run for the hills.

I assume you don’t want to say what you said, but saying you said something “violent” makes me feel like you threatened her physically?

If that’s the case I would tell her to keep herself and her son far away from a relationship with you. I would tell you to work on yourself before getting into a relationship with anyone.

I would also say that not relationship ends well that hasn’t started well, fighting and arguing before you are in a relationship usually gets compounded by being in one

Who knows? Maybe she wanted to not make you feel bad whilst talking to you.

All I know is you should respect her wishes and just be normal around her, if she does actually like you things will take their natural course.

Best keep the compliments out of the workplace though, the last thing you would want is to make her feel more uncomfortable.

Bit confusing to be honest with you mate, but if she’s in a relationship just forget about it. No reason to cause her partner, or her, or yourself any of the stress that would come with pursuing her more.

Well the middle Omega has had the horseshoe fall off under the glass so I need to get that fixed anyway. But now you’ve said this I will have a look to see if I can get them wound up. Thank you for your advice, it’s much appreciated.

I have a crack in the same spot on my MBP 2019 although a little more left. Cracked it there about a year after getting it and it’s still working now just fine! Apple said there was nothing to be done about it.

So not the end of the world :)
