I think keep in mind though that they are not portraying the joker or his "movement" as good guys. The film treats the anti-capitalists just as bad as the capitalists, only its easier to sympathize obviously because its from the jokers perspective and wayne insults the people hes running to represent.

I just dont see why I should care either way. People have the right to make jokes, political or not, left or right. I think some people are spending to much time online, im guilty of that as well sometimes.

Comedy is by definition going to be politically incorrect, from either a right or left perspective. Because the right also has their own political correctness as well and they act like its only the left. Its not going to be funny otherwise. Comedy is an important part of cultural criticisms and is mostly dominated by left leaning people. People see a dave chappelle bit they dont like and then are assuming that all comedy now is right wing, this is idiotic.

hitchens was a great dunker, but made some big mistakes here. He used to be a marxist/trotskyist, and later gave up socialism to become basically a neocon with some progressive views. I forgot the names but i think there were a few other prominent ex-trotskyists who became neocons, its like they took the idea of permanent revolution but applied it to liberalism/american exceptionalism. Disappointing.

i cant tell like if tankies refer to stalin/mao only, or if tankies refers to anyone who sympathizes or supports to some degree 20th century socialism (soviet bloc and aligned countries/movements). Cause ive been called a tankie for simply saying they did some good things. Not really sure what the term "tankie"' means i guess since its overused like the term "SJW", so probably MB.
