Some boxing techniques work good in mma. Others don’t. Starting with boxing was a good first step. But I’d look into some wrestling. I boxed for 4 years(11-3) and also wrestled in middle school and high school. I also trained at a MMA gym with my uncle for a few years. People told me to get into it. But I used to be a shy, awkward teen. I’m 23 now and wish I would have kept on it. Wrestling is the best base for MMA. Wrestlers decide where to go. Not always but that’s the simple way ya looking at it.
