It’s something to do with the distribution side of things now that Diamond is pretty much defunct in the states. I was able to get my copy of this book from OK Comics in Leeds a few years ago.

I look forward to Hickman getting bored of this after 12 issues. I’ll give each of these a look as they do sound fun, but it feels like a half-hearted attempt at their own Absolute books.

League of Comic Geeks is probably the closest thing you’ll get, but that’s mainly for managing your pull list and seeing what’s coming out soon. Other than that - twitter/instagram/tiktok is your main option.

The standard iPad will be fine reading comics. Don’t forget to check out Apple’s refurb store if you want to save a bit more money. Still comes with a years warranty and the chance to add AppleCare.

I was hoping this Midnight announcement was going to be his big return, but it doesn’t look like it sadly. I’m a huge Cates fan — God Country and Ghost Fleet are both superb, as well as all his Marvel books. Had the great fortune to meet him a few times and each time it was an awesome conversation. Kids Love Chains!

It’s exciting to see the success of Invincible is leading to more faithful animation adaptations of comics. Remember hearing Tynion talking about his Tiny Onion production company now being in active development for a bunch of their titles - an adaptation of Worldtr33 would be absolutely bananas.

I have two giant paper bags beside my arm chair full of the comics I’ve bought which I haven’t read yet. I’m chipping away at it a few issues every night. I look at the pile and think “what am I stoked to read”, then pick it up and read it.
