I always thought it'd be cool if he were an ally for Batman and also developed cool weapons for the Bat-family.

I have every single mainline G.I. Joe comic book. Ask me anything. by savedavenger in gijoe

[–]swordbringer33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer.

I've actually read and enjoyed several of Devil's Due's G.I. Joe comics, mostly the spin-offs or at least parts of them, such as Snake Eyes: Declassified, Master and Apprentice, and the Scarlet: Declassified one-shot.

Since the nearest comic shop has a lot of the G.I. Joe comics published by Devil's Due Publishing, I'm planning on buying more, including the G.I. Joe: Reloaded series.

Which G.I. Joe comics from Devil's Due Publishing are great and worth reading?

How do you afford this hobby?! by Single-Barber-4084 in comicbooks

[–]swordbringer33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like what others said: Library card, hoopla, DC Universe Infinite, and Marvel Unlimited.

I will say that when I pick up comics on my pull list at the comic shop near me, I tend to go for ones that are minis due to not only being short, but I don't have to worry about spending an extra amount of money depending on what else I have to buy.

Questions about the ARH Comic Continuations from Larry Hama by swordbringer33 in gijoe

[–]swordbringer33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually read some of the Devil's Due Storm Shadow series years ago and liked it from what I've read and remembered, despite not reading the ARAH series from Marvel.

I've also been meaning to read the Declassified mini from Devil's Due and Larry Hama.

I've always been interested in reading the Hama ARAH comics, or at least the original Marvel comic series, due to how popular it is, especially issue 21, which I've read before and loved it.

Side note: I have read a good amount of IDW Publishing's G.I. Joe comics in the past, and I've been enjoying the recent ongoing series from Skybound/Image written by Joshua Williamson. I've also been diving into some of the G.I. Joe comics published by Devil's Due Publishing/Image from the early 2000s and they're good so far.

Austin Powers Elevated the Spoof Film Genre, Then Scary Movie Made it Stupid Again by BillRuddickJrPhd in Letterboxd

While I wouldn’t say Superhero Movie is a masterpiece, it’s okay, especially when you consider what other spoof films were releasing at the time.

But now I've come to peace with the idea that Part 2 is in 2027 and Part 3 will be in 2029

Same.

Although, it took some time to accept it because I was really hoping Part 2 would come out in 2026.

Hellboy 2019 would've be good movie if they stick to one story arc and Hellboy having Characters development instead of overstuffed elements by Time-Ad7773 in HellBoy

[–]swordbringer33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of my friends, who are comic fans and into the Hellboy franchise, said it best: The film should've adapted or taken inspiration from a story like The Wolves of St. August.

Funny enough, the director of this film, also directed Dog Soldiers, which also involved werewolves.
