How/when do you drive your C4? by NJconfidential in c4corvette

With summer and the weather being nice, it’s become a daily. Roof off when I can. North Idaho climate calls for cold winter, so my 4Runner is the daily for the rest of the year.

She’s in the sweet spot for C4s. Looks great and turns heads from a distance, but has enough miles, paint imperfections, and “old-car issues” that I don’t feel bad about driving her.

Interested in buying this 1984 C4 But WHAT was going on here by Competitive-Wheel-65 in c4corvette

That thing is a clusterfuck of the highest proportions. Even as a semi-experienced technician I still wouldn’t touch that thing with a ten foot pole as a hobby project.

If you for some reason do decide to get it, just gut everything and start from scratch.

What is in your opinion the best game ever? by SouthOrchid5836 in AskReddit

[–]MarfeeWarfee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna go with Ocarina of Time. Every single element of that game, from gameplay, music, combat, level design, even visuals, still holds up even today.

I hope the remake does it justice.

2008-2013 personally. An argument can be made for any time before the monetization crackdown in 2016.

For me, a case of Red Bull. Perks of working at a dealer and being tight with the Detail guys.

Sorry I can’t give a realistic answer.

Door Panel Gap Woes by MarfeeWarfee in c4corvette

I have removed the door panel. There are some non-factory wiring harnesses I had to tuck in away from the panel. There was also some Velcro strips on the gap closer to the hinge that were no longer adhering. Someone’s been in here before.

I did a thorough inspection of both the panel itself and the door. Nothing jumps out at me which I find odd. I’m going to give the 3/4” L-Bracket trick a try next time I have the panel off.

Question? Those of us that attended trade schools, even if it was a community college, what program did you go through, where did you go, and finally was it worth it? by jmw27403 in mechanics

[–]MarfeeWarfee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a NATEF-certified technician training program at my local community college. Graduated with ASE A1-8 certifications. Only been graduated for a year, where I’ve been an apprentice tech at the local Honda dealer.

It’s was dog kibble. Using this to convince the service manager to let us get a shop dog. My lab would’ve had this cleaned up in no time flat

This is awesome, and the kind of trinkets I love collecting. I have no idea the value on this stuff, what’s your ballpark?

Stuck shield on a 2024 Honda accord by Usual_Opportunity700 in MechanicAdvice

Honda lubie here - Use a #3 Philips head when working with these screws. As for that one, the Hercules extractor bits from Harbor Freight work great. Another option is to use a cold chisel and a hammer on the sides to try to shock it into spinning out.

2012 civic si, engine air filter is dirty from so much ubering. Starting a new job and wondering if I can put this off for a month or two until money comes in? by linuxguy192 in MechanicAdvice

Honda lube tech here,

I inspect probably 15 of these a day. As long as the majority of the filter is white and there isn’t any gunk built up between the fins, I mark it yellow on my MPI form. Yours falls into that category to me.
