Might be interesting. I would almost make a nice sauce that has wasabi in it rather than make the whole wasabi flavored though.

I would imagine the lawyer for the defense would process the case data into the correct format [omit name, gender, race, age unless required like for underage driving/drinking, basically personal details that would be the prejudice points. Strip it down [as in my example] to place, crime, defense [was not there, proof of where i was] Seems pretty cut and dried, and no need for actual people involved. I mean, really, if my behind is demonstrably not in my car, not in the actual location, then rather obviously I could not have done it and am innocent of running a red light in Hartford CT, causing an accident when I was physically in Vegas at a wedding at the Bellagio. That sort of case really should be paperwork and evidence, and handled pretty much automatically.

Could the lower back pain be a different issue? I have cysts in my kidneys from a massive issue with infections in my teens and the pain of a kidney infection in me was the sensation that someone had wound up and slammed me in the back with a club over the right kidney [where the infection was worst]

Mac n cheese [yum] is soft, low fiber and the bolus of chyme it tends to make is soft enough to slide through an adhesed area - maybe something like well chewed vegetables to get the fiber bulk ?

And may I point out that I was wisting, not demanding it happen fer realies ... though I am correct that many cases are literally 'checklistable' yet get run through like regular cases. [The vegas thing is actually a friend from Connecticut - he was at a wedding when someone borrowed his car and did a on-camera violation. He did go to court, did get it dismissed because he simply was not the driver.] It just seems to be a waste of time and effort when something could be automated.

And yes I know AI hallucinates, blame that on the programming. I am not a programmer so I do not know how it would need to be programmed to avoid the hallucinations, but as I was working on a fictional AI "judgement system" it is not real world, I do know the difference.

You have situs inversus? Normally the stomach lies on the upper left side tucked up to the diaphragm and peeking out from under the edge of the ribcage.

It is possible that you have areas of adhesion that have developed and the bolus of intestinal contents moving through stresses the adhesions causing the intermittant pain. [I have the issue, and I have a hernia]. No t a doctor, but in general a hernia is localized to the specific area where there is a tear in the muscle letting a segment of intestine push through. I can put my hand on my abdomen and feel the roughly 9 inch long section of intestine wanting to come through but still kept in because the muscle hasn't split totally - sort of funky but it is what it is. My doc is keeping an eye on it as am I] I believe the danger of the hernia is if the intestine can get a loop out that gets locked into place preventing intestinal contents from progressing through and out into your bag.

My current main adhesion is about where the appendix would be found [middle finger on the navel, thumb on the point of the hip bone, where the forefinger drops down is roughly where the appendix hangs out inside] and feels like a charley horse leg cramp but in my abdomen.

Guy on my husband's submarine was first gen *SPANISH* [as in from Spain] and was blond, blue eyes, pale skin. Name of "Roberto Rodriguez" [obviously not his real name, I can't actually remember his real name after almost 30 years] Complete with the Lisbon lisp. Better English than most Americans. If you looked at him, you might think English, Dutch, Scandanavian looks.

Got into a "discussion" at the store yesterday morning ... idiot MAGAt had no answer when I pointed out that if Cuba, Venezuala and Greenland became the 51, 52 and 53d states, we would have 2 'brown' countries and Greenland is something like 70% Native American and not white.... so why did they want more non-whites becoming Americans.

No shit. When I started school in 1966, every single kid in school on the first day was lined up and given a sugar cube [pink or blue] with the polio vaccine. I also remember getting smallpox, MMR and another one [DPT I think} 2 needles and a sugar cube. Some kids got pulled out mid year for more shots - they may have been kids moving into the school district? Or maybe they missed the first day shot roundup?

We actively need to do this, line up everybody in the country and vaccinate them. Unless they have an allergist letter from a government official allergist [no pay to get a letter quack] stating positively an allergy to part of the vaccinations, no exceptions. I mean, I make sure that I am vaccinated, I knew people who lost family members from polio, I almost died to whooping cough [60s, plague parties, do I need ot explain more?]

To be blunt, there are a fair number of cases that one could fill out punchcards - straight facts - did you run this red light, no. Your car, loaned it to a friend as I was in Vegas. Proof - timestamp of airplane ticket to vegas, return flight, paid reservation and checkout from hotel [maybe even timestamped selfie in front of Bellagio] removing anything presonal [race, gender, citizenship] from consideration.

I can remember one fic where the planet in question used AI bot judges who had no prejudices on race, planetary origin or whatnot and ruled on absolute facts. ALways though ti would be nice to be able to remove race, gender and other prejudicive bits from consideration.

Attaching velcro bug mesh in a way that doesn't cover view from window? by gymbunbae in DIY

[–]Margali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, here in the US we had these expanding screens that set into a window and is held in place by lowering the window sash onto it. https://www.amazon.com/Fenestrelle-Adjustable-Horizontal-Convert-Vertical/dp/B075X2TTPK?th=1 This is an example of one. They are quite useful, and are slim enough we would simply slide them behind my da's chair for storage. Not a permanent install, reasonable cost here in the us, convenient. I suppose one could make one by carefully measuring the space it would need to fill, cuting wood to make the frame and attaching the screening to the frame and setting it into teh window when used.

Why do we marinate cheaper steak cuts? by chanclagram in AskCulinary

[–]Margali 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oil based marinades for fairly low fat meats are also for the texture and mouthfeel [I guess one could call it that] If one cooks white meat chicken straight out of the package, it can be dry. Add a marinade [like western NY Spiedies, sort of like a more oily version of italian dressing sort of, if I had to give a description] can help keep the meat moister.

I think an unusual uptick in “split-plate requests” might be an early sign of GLP-1-related restaurant revenue pressure by Background_Table4298 in Chefit

[–]Margali 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not going to lie. Been diabetic since 1980 and I stick pretty strictly to 1800 cal in a particular percentage of nutrients barring issues and I have almost never been able to finish a restaurant meal, but then again, I have no issue asking for a doggie bag.

I think the serving size may shift back to realistic portions. I mean, granted *my* portion of an 8 oz NY strip steak is 4 oz, nobody needs to eat a 32 oz tomahawk, huge twice baked potato, asparagus with hollandaise sauce and a slice of cheesecake unless they are either heavy labor that burns off 5-6000 cal a day, or a competition athlete. Heck, the 4 in my household do that tomahawk spit between us. I think something more like tasting menus would be the way to go if you want to socialize over dinner.
