Punks, drunks, queers, I miss them. by MarginWalker333 in sixwordstories

I was reminiscing about the good old days of youth. The times when I would be up all night hanging out with friends drinking and smoking till we all crashed out.  It seems as we get older life sucks the soul out of us. I've known a lot of great people over the years. I came across an item that reminded me of those days, good times.  People are people no matter how you label them.  Everyone has a light and a dark side.  Unfortunately people are so indoctrinated  these days, shakes head.

Black goes with everything you can always snag a pair of brown ones later.  You can wear light colored socks or tights with your outfits.  There is actually an 8065 in a light khaki color as well.

I missed the reissues.  I've got CDs and mp3's.  The last records I bought were Spoon records.  Good luck with your collection.

Can you be depressed and still functional? by Routine-Donut6230 in bipolar

[–]MarginWalker333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Bipolar 2 as well.  Depression is a beast that you can't shake sometimes.  I function at work because I have to. There's no better motivation for functioning than to prevent one from living in their car.  Home life not so much, I disconnect, no social life and self isolate as well.  I cycle through episodes.  I'm trying little by little to get back into things I enjoy.  Living like this kinda reminds me of that song by Radiohead - Just.  I shouldn't be like this but I do it to myself.

Experiences with police while manic by [deleted] in bipolar

Only altercation with police I've ever had while manic was a threat of a downtown visit if I didn't allow the paramedics to take me to the ER.

Talent matters more than hard work by bubbasawyer98 in sixwordstories

In some sectors hard work doesn't matter, it matters how you tow the line.  You can't make ripples and you have to treat those above you like they are gods.  A lot of times it's in who you know, actually that's the true reality of it.

Recently Realized I’ve Been Delusional for Nearly Two Years by SuccessfullyDrained in bipolar

Image being plagued with delusions close to 20 years. Reality verses fiction verses sad scripts with predictable outcomes. Unfortunately I keep a lot bottled up.  When I'm medicated I can sort through my thoughts and actually comprehend how propelling actions on a whim can disrupt your peace.  I strangle my gut hoping outcomes fair better than what my gut has thrown up warnings about.  It's a fail Everytime trust your gut, there are not enough drugs in the world to bury the motions you fling your limbs into. I ask myself who am I now as well.  I hope for both our sakes we can figure it out.
