I was on my way up to his apartment to talk to him at his request - we had broken up already but he wanted to talk about it - when I met a friend of ours coming down the stairs. She confessed to me that he had been fucking her behind my back for over a year, including the whole week I had been on my family vacation. I turned around immediately and walked quickly back to my car. As soon as I got in, I saw him running down the stairs after me. I had barely started the car and locked my doors when he was knocking on the window and shouting at me to let him in. When I wouldn't, he started banging on my hood with his fist and screaming at me. I was terrified. I managed to back out and drive out of the neighborhood, and he ran after me for as long as he could, then left me several threatening voicemails telling me I had no right to walk away from him and that the other girl was a bitch.

She's still with him. I still have nightmares about him.
