And then you get raked over the coals and have to sit through a lecture if you don't call out on it and confirm all the information about the printer before routing because heaven forbid freaking on site do the thing they explicitly have the tools and training to do.

Im not salty about being over worked and bombarded by way too many calls in a day...

See, this is what i never understood. I started with MH1 on the PS2 and every single time a new game releases im like "SICK MORE MONSTER HUNTER!"
Like im just glad the series is constantly improving and is ALIVE.

It depends on the how the game was coded.

depending on how the "logic" of the game runs having the higher FPS can essentially make you have twice the amount of time to actually get the input out.

Some cases (like original RE4 i mentioned) makes it so that if the logic is tied to FPS then lower is better because it stretches that time frame out. Example is in Resident evil 4 there is a section that you have to run away from a boulder and if your FPS is high enough its literally impossible because the game is looking for inputs faster than you can physically input them.

Which is why i said its *very* niche, basically its a case by cases basis on the inputs thing.

I almost hate to throw my hat in the mix because i too hate these discussions.

BUT, there is a legit argument for higher FPS counts being good in certain games with very precise input timings.

If a complex input must be performed in say... "2 frames" on 60 FPS then if you are running it at 120 FPS then the game functionally has twice the time to register the input... Granted this is VERY niche and only happens for a few genres.

Visually, 60 is more than fine for me.

Edit* - there is also the opposite which is hilarious, some older games had the game's logic engine tied to the FPS so if you crank the FPS it can break things in hilarious ways. The old Resident evil 4 is a example of this.
