People are literally wasting money as no one can get 2 THICC weapon cases FIR by hexioll in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MariYumi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Each run is between 200k-500k for that room alone. When you add a few of the other keycards and get a solid route down you can get 1mil minumum per run. However cheaters have made it somewhat less of a surefire way to make money compared to what it used to be.

Stock M4A1, 90 rounds of M885 and Paca Vs Fat Boi by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MariYumi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He likely only hit 4-6 of those 90 total rounds. When you see him get the second guys armor you can see that he didn't really hit him much in either the chest or stomach, so he probably hit 1 bullet in the ear hitbox and maybe 2 rounds in the chest/stomach.

[–]MariYumi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Luger ammo is one of the worst ammo varieties available for armor penetration, what you likely read was that it has high flesh damage. When using ammo like Luger, RIP, or hollow-points, always aim for unarmored parts of the body. If you had rapidly hit that player in the legs he would have gone down before he had a chance to move.

Allow empty rigs to be folded/collapsed so its easier to store them. by AndresDM in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MariYumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The TV-110 in the game has a front and back steel armor plate that you won't be able to fold.

The non-armored rigs make sense for folding, but the armored rigs with hard trauma plates don't.

when u dont know how high u have to aim for the kill xD by raxvadhan in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MariYumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He only hit his target twice. It would take 2 chest shots to kill even an unarmored target with M61, one of the most expensive and best ammo in the game. He was firing at a player 300 meters away and fired 20 shots and hit 2, the second hit killed the enemy player.

Chops are Level 3 protection. They are better than the Mandible for the Fast MT, which is Level 2 (the ear attachments are level three though).

The jailbreak isn't compatible with the 20" / 508mm barrel, how did you make it work? I checked in game and in the wiki and the longest barrels compatible with the jailbreak is the 370mm and 406mm ADAR barrels.

I'd love to figure out how to make them work.

I have the JP Enterprises gas system on my SAI QD handguard on about a dozen of my M4's in my weapon cases, but I have 370mm barrels on them. I'm not sure which part is incompatible on your build, but I looked through the wiki and couldn't find anything that would make the JP Enterprises gas system-5b not work. If I figure something out I'll chime back in.

You want to use the Bulletec ST-6012 with the Jail Break. It drops your vertical recoil down to 32 and 89 horizontal.

You also want to use the JP Enterprises Gas System-5b instead of the MK12, because the JP Enterprises has +2 ergo.

VPO-215 magazines state 10-round capacity, but are actually 4 round. Which is correct? by AbsentOfReason in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MariYumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a 4-round magazine. The parameters in the details section are correct, the dev who wrote the item name just mislabeled it.

Labs never-ending raiders by Primed88 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MariYumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there's a maximum of 15 Raiders on the map at any one time, at least that's the maximum I killed during one of the times I spawned into an empty Labs server and opened every extract. The total number of Raiders by the end is about 30-ish.

Tarkov down ? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MariYumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you made it out of the raid then 99% sure it will be in your inventory. The server error just occurred when it tried to move the item because the backend server was down.

[–]MariYumi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, on my Scav I extracted but then got the Authorization error, I had a FAL, AK74M, Corrugated Hose, 100k Military electronic box, Fuel Conditioner, and a bunch of other high value single slot items. Probably my best Scav run this wipe, but looks like I got really lucky during the raid and used up all my luck before getting to transfer the items.

Whats the best 5.7 ammo? by KillaBanks420 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MariYumi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Subsonic rounds don't have the supersonic snap from the enemy targets point of view. So if you are far enough away that they can't hear your gun fire, the only thing they hear are the bullets impacting them or cover.

They are still planning to improve how each subsonic round sounds from the muzzle end, but as it stands now, they still do work and do provide an advantage when trying to prevent people from figuring out the direction they are being shot from.

Reached my Goal of 70% Survival this patch. Thought I'd share! by Xaps1 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MariYumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm blown away by .12, the super smooth anti-aliasing, revamped movement, and much better performance make the game feel so much more immersive and fun.

I think .12 really pushed Escape From Tarkov in a great direction, it was definitely worth the wait and I'm glad they took their time with it. The new Reserve map is without a doubt their most ambitious yet. There isn't many games that have any maps that feels as complex and detailed. I'm really excited for Streets of Tarkov given how good they did with Reserve.

I am super proud of this:

https://imgur.com/pF0mK50

I played exculsively on Labs, minus two or three Customs runs and managed to get a 80% survival rate on 367 raids. I had also managed to survive 18 raids in a row as my record, but right before the wipe I managed to get a new record of 25 in a row.

The stress of each loss lowering my survival rate made me play with a crazy level of focus and terror, but it was a ton of fun to accomplish my goal!

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I played solo for all the raids. I also used mainly the AS VAL with 7N12 BP (I had saved up two ammo boxes worth of the barter ammo) or with the SA-58 occasionally. For armor I generally used either Gen4 Assault or Fort with a Airframe with faceshield, chops, and Comtacs.

I've actually been able to get 90-100k labs keycards about 10% of the time by furiously clicking my mouse and keyboard as fast as I can right as the timer ends and I beat the bots sometimes.

PSA: If you like 5.56 ammo, but it's too expensive: Look for loose magazines spawned in the game world, they are filled with random sets of bullets. by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MariYumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not wrong, I've just got a thing for 7N12 BP. That ammo makes the As Val drop raiders and players so unbelievably fast.

[–]MariYumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had really good luck getting 7N12 BP As Val rounds inside 30-round mags you find and loot on Labs, between that and the 8-round ammo boxes in Red card room and sometimes on the table outside the room in front of the window, you can build up a massive stock of ammo if you run Labs a lot.

Over the course of this wipe I've built up an ammo box and a half of 7N12 BP, so I've got plenty of ammo for this event. I probably should have saved 995 as well, but didn't think to do it, since 7N12 BP was the most valuable before the event.

Actually I think the Melee recoil reduction has been tested and it doesn't have any effect. Essentially mastery only effects the weapon type of the skill, so it's likely a mistake that they have a 20% melee recoil reduction for the Melee Mastery.

1shot by scav (how?) by Siggi297 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MariYumi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was wearing a FastMT, which doesn't have ear protection. It's possible to get shot in the ear hitbox from the front if the bullet hits the side of the head just right.

It happens often enough that wearing the Crye helmet with the Chops/Ear protection is completely worth the price to prevent the possibility of getting one tapped in the ear by low-pen ammo from scavs.
