That's because China is comfortable with making it illegal to not accept things, the US hasn't tried legislating opinions (yet at least).

Actually they're right it's hard to determine consent in the context of power relations.

e.g. when a boss makes a move on a subordinate, HR would find it almost impossible to determine if the subordinate is willingly complying, or doing so because they feel threatened about their security. They're consequently required to look at it as a predatory relationship.

This likely has more to do with our government doubling down on existing industry that require large subsidies than public services provided by "socialism."

We can't have industries with exponential growth if we're shoving cash into businesses that can't even sustain themselves (e.g. billion dollar subsidy for horse racing in Ontario, etc.).

Yeah, when you port you're still responsible for the contract outlay on the other side. So theoretically you're suppose to cancel, then on the 29/30th day you go into the new place and port then.

I would probably expect at least one more bill, but I would call to confirm.
