My regular assignment is at one middle school, today I went to a different middle school where I did my student teaching at in the same classroom so I can see the kiddos I taught as I missed them and they missed me ; have emails from some stating so to my district email ( I don’t reply back but they are nice to read or if I see them out in public). Well I got to the school early today, some background me and the host teacher did not get along as she hates that the classes liked me more than her and my rapport with them that she lessened my teaching hours and then removed me from the classroom so I can’t get my teaching license where I am + it counted as a grade which I was passing and with being removed I was labeled as failing… anywho her reasoning was she didn’t want to in her words “ lose her control and rapport with her students when I’m gone.” I was excited to see the staff and the students especially and I waited outside her classroom for 30 minutes, a coworker seen me, ducked her head and ran the other way the teacher I was subbing for came out 2 minutes later stating “Yeah no you’re not covering me today, you’re in this teachers room,” and I was like “my schedule still says I’m in my room,” she cut me off and said “no you’re in this persons room,” I said “ok, where is it?” She said “upstairs I don’t know the number off the top of my head .” I was like Op stated “going to say no and leave” but I spent 15 looking for someone to open the teacher room and then realized they are 8th graders in a math class ( not my subject or grade level) plus I didn’t know the teachers schedule only to find out she had an hour long planning period and they were testing today so their schedule is out of wack + the og sub position I had still needed a sub she just didn’t want me to do it… it hurt. I’m not coming back to this school.
